That was my first use. Hot plate magnetic stirrer hot chocolate. I determined I enjoy 130f hot chocolate.

After measuring out 1800ml of water and then adding additives, the ml marking showed 1900. This was then divided into three containers at 633ml per container. Measured out the first 2 glasses and then on the 3rd it was short 176ml. I thought I had messed up somewhere, so I broke out my scale, tared the beaker, and filled it with water to the 500ml mark and the scale showed 447ml. To confirm the beaker was off, I used an Eisco Labs calibrated beaker and filled it to 500ml and scale also showed 500ml. Poured that into the Karter beaker and showed about 550ml. Would not recommend this brand if accuracy is required.

I've been testing a few 2L beakers for use with my hot plate. First, this is the thinnest beaker I tested. It's not bad and still feels solid, but I'm not sure I want to be filled with anything dangerous.On the good side this has the nicest scale and is reasonably accurate. The only one that's on par with brand-name beakers.My main issue however is that the bottom has a significant bubble in it which limits contact with hot plates etc.. If I were only working within a few degrees of room temperature I would consider using this beaker, but since I plan to cook with it this will not work.
