Worked very well as my esphogus and stomach healed from intense heartburns (GERD).My stomach acids got back on track after 3 weeks of agony from Gerd. I was so happy HCL helped me. I definately stopped eating anything with sugar after meals that would rot in my tummy causing acid disturbances or I eat my carbs FIRST BEFORE MY VEGGIES & PROTEINS! Then the carbs that break down to sugar dont just sit there waiting for the proteins to digest....which is 2-3hrs. I take my HCL and I am fine. TOTALLY WORKS!!! The food combination chart really helped ....such a life saver. Avoiding drinking with meals and avoiding eating after 7pm too. I get the buring sensation now so I do not have to take it anymore unless I eat a heavy plate of proteins like at a barbecue. I eat clean everyday and simple. I lost 20lbs because of the Gerd issue. I am glad I have it on hand.

The Betaine HCL was fine, but I don't think it's what I really need. Of course, I didn't get to try it for two months as planned. Although I ordered 2 bottles, the 2nd bottle rec'd was not Betaine HCL (and I didn't realize it until later; the bottles look almost identical). Bolo had sent the wrong item; then refunded the entire order, saying they couldn't refund for one bottle. And, instead of saying "wrong item sent," they processed the refund as saying the Item was "not satisfactory", but that isn't fair to the seller. Ah, well, I can't fix that. The Betaine HCL worked like it was supposed to though.

This is crazy. My daughter has been suffering increasing food allergies. So much so that we were getting very concerned. Mom was ready to pay a so called holistic doctor (I'm very much in favor of holistic medicine, but like everything, there are a lot of charlatans banking on peoples ignorance and desperation). All eyes were on me to step it up and cough up at least half in not the whole account. I spent 3 days researching the issues of food allergies. In my daughters case, it turned out to be a digestive issue. She suffered from heart burn as well. Which was odd cause she neither indulges in drink nor unhealthy eating habits (she can't afford to). One day she called in somewhat of a panic because or worsening conditioning lead to a bout of a serious case of heart burn. She had just recieved much of the products I bought from Bolo (including Primier HCL), and pleaded with me what can she take. Non of the antacids she took was helping. I told her try half the HCL, but beware, it could make things worse. She took reluctantly. We hung up. 20 minutes latter she called to tell me it work. What I learned, and the reason I bought the HCL, is that heart burn can be caused by both to much acid, or to little acid. In her case, it's to little. Coupled with the best digestive enzymes, probotics, fish oil, tumeric acid, liquid sublingual B12 Complex that money can buy (all of which is available on Bolo) - for the first time in her young adult life, my daughter has been free from having to take benadryl every time she ate something. Incredible!!! And I'm the Hero. Do your research, in anything. The key is recognizing the BS mixed in with all the good stuff. Good luck there though. It's a knack that comes from having done a lot of reading, research, and experience. But it can be done.

Those that are questioning the product are not following directions. If you research, you find out that you should take one and if you feel nothing then you take another one. Ect. I had a slight warmth in my chest which they say is when you stop. I thought it was too mild so I took another one and that was a bad idea. This is the real stuff! Find directions before taking and you will be much better off.

I rarely leave reviews but wanted to stop by and say… I’ve been taking these for two weeks (two pills a day: one pill following lunch and dinner). It just dawned on me that I haven’t really had intense gas or bloating! I’ve also been regular and have probably lost a pound or two.
