On par with some of his others; but this was so much more exciting and humanly. The inclusion of the RE’s well known actress, homelife and Mother (Patti Lapone) & her cute little semi important Pup. Mr Stratham(sp) came across better than his usual kool/tough/capable character😘👍

'Parker' is a fairly anonymous, formulaic entry in a heist-action genre already rife with fairly anonymous, formulaic films. The plot is a stock revenge piece (and at times, highly implausible at that). The narrative is clumsily paced, with characters like Nolte's coming in and then seemingly disappearing without a trace. Nonetheless, I don't regret giving the two hours of my time to watch it since in the end it ably ticks most of the boxes for a solid, if disposable, action movie: explosions, gunshots, hand-to-hand combat, slick cars, and comely female leads.The plot follows a thief's attempt to get even with the crew who stole his take and tried to kill him after their last job. His efforts to exact revenge on his mob-connected former colleagues put him and his loved ones at risk, and he leaves a healthy stack of weapon-wielding thugs in his wake. He eventually zeroes in on his targets in Palm Beach, Florida, where most of the movie's action takes place.The characters are one-dimensional, the dialogue generally lifeless and trite. Each character possesses a single, basic desire, and no time at all is given to anyone's backstory or past. Jason Statham, all menace and steely-eyed stare, is always fun to watch, but he never needs to get out of second gear as he applies his 'righteous tough guy' trope to the eponymous thief. The most nuanced character, and the film's best performance, comes from Jennifer Lopez as a feisty, flirty Palm Beach real estate agent who gets herself wound up in Parker's scheming and stays on board for a pay off of her own. Supporting players drift in and out unremarkably and sometimes inexplicably, but this is principally a simple story about one man's need to redress a wrong.And it's in the pulsating, bloody moments when the movie shines. The action scenes are gripping, particularly the opening set-piece and a well-choreographed hotel room fight. The director does a solid job of evoking Palm Beach, its vibrant colors and lazy luxury.Overall, the film has considerable shortcomings but manages to be an enjoyable watch.

Jason S, is always fun to watch in action and this movie does not disappoint. J Lo was good in the flick and I liked the movie just fine. I got this DVD used and the seller did a great job of getting it to me fast. Very happy.

A fantastic movie to watch again and again.
Parker is a fantastic piece of cinema based on a novel by Westlake. Parker (Jason Statham) is a man with his own disciplines and principles though being on the wrong side of law. At one point ; he is deceived by Melander and his group over sharing money. They try hard to kill Parker by pushing him off the moving SUV and shooting him badly when Parker disagrees with their next project. When they leave him at the road side pond thinking that he is dead ; Parker is fortunately rescued by a tomato farmer. Parker quickly recovers and starts hunting for Melander and his team. This movie will make you so much emotional that; at one point of time you literally want to enter the television screen and punch the bad guys on their faces. The movie is very picturesque; Palm island and all. Jennifer Lopez does a fantastic job of supporting Parker. Story moves very briskly and not even a single moment in the movie is dull and boring. Supporting actors are very nice. Editing, background music, dialogues, action; everything is first class. A must have collection in your home DVD library.
