I've tried everything over the years and nothing helped! I look like a nail biter, but I'm not. I've been using this at least 2x day for 4 months and 7 of my fingernails are actually past the tips of my fingers. My thumbs and one pinkie that have always been the worst, are still short, but they seem like they're coming around. This one little jar has lasted 4 months and I slather it on 2, 3, and sometimes 4x day. I'm in awe! I wish I had taken a before pic, but I never in a million years thought it would work! I'm showing a pic of my thumb - that's what ALL my nails looked like. I'm so proud of my other nails that are not peeling and breaking!

This is the one product I would subscribe to, and I already have a backup for when this one is done.I have flaky toe nails and it causes ingrown issues, and this actually has stopped the flaking, allowing my toe nail to grow whole and keeps the skin soft so it doesn't irritate or split during the process. I hate the feeling of lotion on the soles of my feet, and no lotion could get rid of the dry cuticles of my toe nails. Except this.My fingernail took a direct hit from a dull knife during meal prep, and it just lost the fine tip. Didn't break.Nail polish stretheners suffocate my nails of air and moisture, actual oils are messy and too much will make them soft.I have a lot of allergies, and this has never given me a reaction. PLEASE. NEVER CHANGE THIS FORMULATION!

This stuff really works. To say my nails are horrific is an understatement. They are brittle, break vertically, tear, and completely damaged. I have tried so many different products, but Onyx Hard as Hoofs actually works. I’m pleased with the results and it smells amazing. (I have the island coconut scent) Given how horrible my nails are, I don’t just use it once a day. Anytime I wash my hands or have them in water, I reapply. It seems to be doing the trick.

This stuff is incredible. I have never found anything - cream, nail polish, biotin supplements (in all forms) - that could fix my constantly cracking, fragile, peeling fingernails. Until now! When this jar arrived in January, I decided to document my progress with monthly pictures, and I'm glad I did. Seeing is believing!I will say that you have to be very consistent with the application, especially in the first 2-3 months. I took the little jar with me everywhere, even when I traveled, and applied it three times a day, as the label instructs. Note: be sure to rub it into and around your cuticle and nail bed, because I think that's where it makes the most difference.Around month four I got a little sloppy and only applied it maybe once a day for a few weeks, but after chipping a nail (by hitting it on the edge of a cabinet - something that would have torn the nail down to the quick before Hard as Hoof), I went back to at least twice a day. It's probably something I'll have to keep using in order to maintain my nails, but I'm willing to do it. My nails have never been stronger. Highly recommended!

I've used this product for a few months now, and even within the first few days of use there is a noticeable difference! My nails are much stronger now, and I've gifted this to a few relatives who also love it! I haven't had the insane thickness difference that some of these reviews show, however, I've also just used it once per day while the instructions recommend application 2-3 times per day. I actually stopped using it for a week recently since I had moved the product elsewhere in the house, but when I started using it again, my nails instantly started to feel thicker. I have the coconut scented one, and it smells very good. The cream is also very hydrating- any excess on the nail I rub into my hands, and I haven't had dry hands since I first got the product. I highly recommend trying this strengthener!

I have purchased and tried so many products to help strengthen my extremely thin and soft/weak nails. Nothing has worked like Hard as Hoof nail strengthening cream has. Especially in such a short amount of time. My nails are already stronger and thicker after only a few weeks of use. I love that it penetrates nail polish so I don't have to wear my nails bare to be treated. I am thrilled and highly recommend anyone struggling with weak nails to give this a try. It actually works!

This is the best cuticle treatment I've ever used. I've tried other creams and oils, lotions, and anything else you can reasonably think of, but this one tops everything. I have such dry cuticles, especially my thumbs, and on top of that, my nails crack and peel--but not when I use this stuff regularly! I find that it works better the more you use it (3-4 times a day is best for me), so I have multiple pots all around my house. My only complaint is that the coconut one is always the cheapest but I don't like scented products for my hands. The unscented version is sadly often out of stock. Cherry almond is a lighter and more pleasant scent to me... but honestly, the coconut scent is not a dealbreaker. It's a small price to pay for non-peeling and bleeding cuticles and nails that actually grow.

I noticed all the reviews were great but mostly all coconut. I saw the cherry almond listed and decided to get that fragrance. I was excited to try it and put it on immediately after it arrived. The fragrance was super strong and for me anyway it was nauseating. Not sure if it was the cherry, almond, or both. A lighter fragrance possibly, but for me I can’t do that scent. Returning it and going to get the fragrance free. I would like to try the coconut but concerned it might be strong too. Can’t wait to get the unscented and get on to better nails.

I’m in love with this stuff, absolute miracle worker and I’ve tried masses of different nail strengthening products over the years

Great results, but the best ones take time

I began using hard as hoof in September 2023. Others here say they saw results in as little as a week or 2, but once nails have grown you cannot thicken them, you have to wait for new regrowth. However if used daily in 1-2 weeks you can definitely notice a difference to your cuticles, they’ll be less dry and you’ll notice very few to no hangnails. As I’ve been using it for 9 months now my nails have now grown all the way out at least twice. Along with taking a biotin supplement daily for the past 6 months and fish oil capsules, (so it may be all 3 working together not just hoof) my nails are much much thicker than they ever have been. They used to be extremely flexible and susceptible to tearing, and now I rarely ever get a tear or break no matter how small. This is also helped by keeping my nails filed in a rounded shape and avoiding using clippers, just a glass file.All in all hard as hoof probably does great for moisturising and preventing breakage on its own but potentially combining it with biotin and fish oil can lead to even more excellent results, just a tip! But even without the supplements I 100% recommend. I have been using it at least twice a day.

I have used this for a couple of months now.My nails have not broken, they feel tougher and are not as easy to bend.Will continue to use :)
