Works like you would expect. The claw for pulling crooked caps sells the hammer. It is built well, and stays togetherfor a long time. This is the 4th one I have purchased, not because the other 3 have failed, but because helpers and friendswanted one.

This hammer is very handy when laying underlayment on a roof. The magnet holds the capping nail in place while swinging it down. The back holds a razor for cutting the felt and there is a claw under the head for removing nails. The handle is at a slight angle off perpendicular to reduce scraped knuckles. It takes a little practice to get the swing right to drive the capping nail straight, but once you get the hang of it you can't go back.This is a Made in USA, quality tool. Definitely worth the investment, even for the occasional patch job.
