The media could not be loaded. The CD came out in excellent condition, with the only main thing being the slight tear there was on the bottom right corner of the actual CD case, where the resin appears to wear off; although, it could likely just be from shipping and weather conditions. I bought the CD a week ago, and had a similar problem that prompted me to return it, leaving me to believe that most CDs suffer from this issue, and that it is quite common amongst most copies. However, the rest of the case is excellent, everything as expected, and in excellent quality, Watch The Throne is a really good album with some songs I'd consider my favorites.

This is inspirational hip-hop. Leaders inspire the masses. They don't follow trends. They set trends. They take chances. They evolve their craft, learn from the past and keep striving higher and higher They push the limits of their talents and keep pushing for more. This is digital passion on display.Jay-z and Kanye have produced a great album! They are an inspiration. Take their music and understand they are living their life to the fullest because they have embraced their love for music and are willing to turn it on its edge to exhaust its limits and while inspiring us to be all that we can be. In an age when it is so easy to criticize, these gentlemen are calling us to yearn for success. This is America people, live your dreams. Wealth and exuberance is not to be feared, it should be respected if those fortunate enough to earn it have capitalized on their talents and been true to their craft. You can feel the depth, pain and realness in this album. They are calling us to not waste your time being less than excellent, despite whatever challenges you are facing. It is no accident these men have withstood the test of hip-hop time. They are intelligent (they pay attention to their surroundings and capitalize), and at their core they love and respect music. They don't let critics strangle their vision, they set their own path. They came to "the fork in the road and went straight" on their way to the "TO-P". Come on people, "It's a celebration... B-----s". Go get this album and tackle those dreams and visions.

If you have the money I’d definitely buy it. Not a great album but it’s amazing to have on vinyl the discs and extras that come with it make it worth it

I didn't listen to this until two years after it's release. Despite liking all of Kanye's music, I'm not really a big Jay-Z fan. And that is why I avoided it. Also, that summer had other big releases (Bad vs Evil and Carter IV).But, once I started listening to it I was floored. This is an example of what can happen when two heavyweights team up and have any producer they want to work with. Every song sounds different but they all blend together to make an incredible piece of work.Lyrically, it's a fair amount of bragging. But, let's be honest, these two can get away with it. That being said there are also some good raps with good substance in here too and that is the difference between a 4 star and a 5 star album. The difference between something that sounds really hot TODAY and an album that is a CLASSIC.

Often times when listening to a album the production can overtake the lyrics. This album kind of reminds me of that. Every song from a production stand point is top notch. However, the lyrics just don't seem fully fleshed out, which causes the production to overshadow the song as a whole. 1 or two more verses and a hardcore breakdown in a lot of areas could have taken the album from good to freakin unbelievable. Sometimes it's J, sometimes it's Kanye.That being said, the collab keeps the entire album from falling too short because of the strength of the artists individually. I would say it's a solid B+ effort. It's definitely worth buying any day of the week as it's better than just about every song on the radio. Songs 1 - 10 are really good and solid efforts. Song 11 kind of falls. Song 12 ( Why I Love You) the hook is just too sick and the lyrics are pretty much on point but it's a perfect example of lyrics that aren't fully fleshed out. The song just stops and you'll wonder what it could have been. You'll look back on a few songs here and there and wonder what the album would have been like if every song was given 100%.Now you might think that the harsh criticism would cause me to rate it lower than I have. However, that's how good these artists are. Even songs that aren't fully fleshed out are miles better than most of what is heard on the radio. As stated in the title... Production A+ / Lyrics B ... either way if you bought the album I doubt it would be considered a disappointed given what it would be graded against. Even their average performances are miles better than the best from other artists.

Make no mistake about it- this is a concept album. There have been really great ones in rock, but not many in this genre. This is a very well thought out, and creative concept album about the fame, legacy, persona and personal life of two mega black hip hop moguls. Every song connects, and not always smoothly. But that's life. I really love the jagged and unexpected moments that this album offers. This is definitely a "big picture" CD. Those looking for lyrical genius, hype beats, and technical rapping skill will find it here and there, but that's not what this album is about, and so it may go over the heads of many. There's really nothing like this out there right now.
Real product, amazing sound quality & printed artwork.
Got this for my boyfriends birthday and wow I was surprised by the quality. I was skeptical getting it off of Bolo since it wasn't cheap - but it's absolutely perfect. The artwork is printed really high quality, the sound is amazing, and the album is massive. It folds out so many times. Definitely get it!
