With wonderful ingredients, skill, and elegant packaging I was drooling to get into my package of baklava. My disappointment arose and my joy evaporated when I realized that the phyllo layers that should have been crispy (at least on top) were all soggy/melty and not nearly as exciting as I had anticipated . I don’t know where the package handling intersected badly with an excellent product, but I suggest that another carrier may have a large impact on product satisfaction.

I purchased the baklava because it is one of my favorite desserts. SO disappointed! I read the reviews that were mostly positive, and trusted that the sweetness would be from honey. Well, the first ingredient is high fructose corn syrup. A NO-NO for health. Then there is corn syrup. The 15th ingredient is honey. Finally!Also, the vanillin is artificial vanilla, and there are preservatives.None of this information was given when I looked for the ingredients before I ordered. Had they been, I would never have purchased it. I am horribly disappointed in the Wisconsin Cheeseman, and will never order from them again. $29.99 for garbage! And that is where the baklava is going. Such a waste!
