I did not see any difference in gas mileage however I did not use the cruise control on my last trip. Installation was straight forward and fairly simple. Excellent value for the $$.

The most difficult part was getting the plug out of the transmission because of the heat shield on my model. Getting the red plug retainer out took patience and a lot of wiggling to remove. Take your time, you don't want to break it. That said, the instructions are straight forward. Use caution when putting the wires into the small plug as the view is the "back side", not the front as is the larger plug. Just follow the diagrams and instructions. The biggest problem I had was to route the wires away from the heat shield.Testing: Very noticeable quicker shift, but not harsh at all. The more throttle you give it the harder it seems to shift but without the bone shaking of another "program" I was using. The whole experience was very drive-able and desirable. Can't wait to tow.- After using the Banks Transmission controller for some time (over 1 year) driving and towing, I am extremely happy. The shifts are precise but without harshness. Sure beats the original soft car shifting. Highly recommended and still a full 5 stars!
