It protects my knees from long periods of kneeling and protects the floor from any scratches that my occur. The only downside is the strong smellof rubber that comes off the mat, but that doesn't last long if you air it out. Great sturdy mat!

I've used Rubber-Cal mats on two different project vans to create custom floor mats. It's thick but easy to cut with a sharp utility knife. The ends of the rolls will sometimes be rolled so tight that it's hard to get it to lay flat - helps if you reverse roll it and/or leave in outside on a hot sunny day. The end are usually not cut very straight, but the sides do seem to run parallel. As other reviewers have commented the mats have a strong rubber smell but it fades over time, especially if you have out in direct sunlight for a week or so. Lastly, check the prices on ALL sizes before buying, as they seem to jump around over time. Right now (8/25/20) it's lot cheaper to buy a 4x8 mat ($38.60) than a 4x7 ($63.86). Maybe you'll see different prices - only Lord Bezos knows how the pricing algorithms work!

This is yet another accessory for my custom all black on white wheels metal trailer that was used to protect the inner sides of the trailer... It looks very nice and complements the diamond plate aluminum that was attached to the bed... the rubber material is pretty durable and it was a lot cheaper than the diamond plate so I saved a boat-load and the trailer still looks nice. The only minor issue might be the strong smell of rubber, but I actually am not too bothered by the smell and sort of like the smell, which kind-of reminds me of a new car or new material smell that you get from new items. I just thought that i'd mention the smell as some people might be sensitive to it or find it offensive, but I don't mind the smell. I had purchased item for my custom trailer to see if it would fit the application, and then returned to purchase a much larger size to complete the job, and so far, all is great.

I bought the mat to make a bed liner and floor mats for UTV. They cut great and looked great, however, the odor is so bad, its unbearable in the cab of the UTV. I tried to "web chat" with vendor on their website, kept saying to stand by for hours, crickets! The odor of the mat is horrendous and causes headaches my animals refuse to get near the mats. Do not use around people or animals. I aired the mat out for two days in the FL sun and purple/blue sheen sweated out of them, the odor was noxious. Heavy chemical smell gets worse in heat. I should return, but I wont as I will use the already trimmed and cut material for templates, on a better product.

Third time using this stuff. This time, as a bed mat for my RAM. My truck has the standard 4 foot width all the way down, because I have a RamBox type bed, so there are no fender wells in the bed area. The width of the mat fits perfectly, and I just cut to the right length with some heavy duty kitchen shears. I used a 6" diameter parts tray to draw radiused corners, then cut with the same shears. This will prevent the edges from curling. It's been it my bed for a month now, and has held up well. Loads of firewood, dirt bikes, tools, have been on it. Can't wait til bow season, my case won't slide around in the bed any longer.
