The 3M™ Littmann® Classic III™ Stethoscope is the latest version of the stethoscope that helps millions of medical professionals achieve their best. The Classic III stethoscope offers high acoustic sensitivity for exceptional performance, plus a versatile two-sided chestpiece with tunable diaphragms. The Classic III stethoscope is used by students and medical professionals alike to identify, listen to, and study heart, lung, and other body sounds for physical assessment, patient monitoring, and diagnosis.
Tunable diaphragm technology—a 3M invention—lets clinicians hear different frequency sounds by simply adjusting the pressure on the chestpiece. Hold the chestpiece with light pressure to hear low frequency sounds; press a little more to hear higher frequency sounds. This time-saving feature allows the healthcare provider to focus on the patient, while the non-chill diaphragm provides patient comfort.
Headset tension is easily adjusted for head size and comfort by squeezing together or pulling apart the eartubes. Snap-tight, soft-sealing eartips conform to individual ears for an excellent acoustic seal and comfortable fit. Eartips snap firmly onto the ends of the eartubes and, for safety, require a significant effort to remove.
Resilient next-generation tubing retains its shape and flexibility even after folding tightly into a pocket. It provides longer stethoscope life due to improved resistance to skin oils and alcohol, and is less likely to pick up stains. Next-generation tubing is not made with natural rubber latex, a benefit to sensitive medical professionals and their patients. And, to play its part in the protection of human health and the environment, the next-generation tubing does not contain phthalate plasticizers.

As soon as the Littmann Classic III I purchased on Bolo sold by HOCARE, arrived, I had a small suspicion that it was a fake but had nothing to compare it to so I assumed it was the real Littmann.After starting school and comparing my Classic III to those of my classmates', I noticed small differences that made me realize that it was definitely not the original.I immediately contacted Bolo. They were extremely helpful and gave me a full refund and I received a new one (this time sold from Bolo) just two days later.Differences between the real Littmann and the fake Littmann:1. Box:-the real box has a smooth shine and surface.-the word Littmann on the fake box is a slightly thicker font than on the real box.-on the side of the box where the product name, number, color, and design is located, the real box showed a proper representation of the tube color and chest piece finish color while the fake box had off looking colors.-on the side of the bar code, the real Littmann has a vertical sticker with small Littmann logos that reflects light when turning the box from side to side.-the purple on the real and fake box are different. the real one has a more pink-purple and the fake one is a darker purple.-the inside of the fake box has a black foam and the foam around the chest piece is not a proper circle (chest piece does not fit nicely inside)2. Chest piece:-the seal around the fake Littmann seemed more rubbery (like an eraser) and has a damaged look. When rubbing the seal of the real Littmann, nothing should rub off.-the Littmann logo should be a strong black.-the serial number engraved on the chest piece of the real Littmann has the letters closer together than the fake one.3. Tubing:-the fake one has a slightly thicker tubing and a slightly darker/blueish color to it.-where the tubing meets the chest piece, the fake Littmann goes over the metal and is wider, whereas on the real one, the tubing gets narrower and meets the metal smoothly.4. Ear pieces-the fake Littmann has a more rubbery ear pieces.-the metal tubing of the fake Littmann is bent at a stronger angle causing discomfort when in the ears (even after wearing for a while)

I work as a veterinary technician at a small animal practice and I have a 12 year old Great Pyrenees mix, so of course he was my first test run. His heart sounds GREAT by the way :) I did not expect to hear so clearly with this, although I should have since it has great reviews. My boss is the only one with a Littmann, and now I understand why she doesn’t share hers. I’ve listened with a Prestige Medical and a cheap off-brand for 3 1/2 years now at this clinic, and I can definitely tell the difference with this stethoscope.The ear buds feel so nice, and my ears don’t hurt after wearing this for a few minutes as opposed to the other stethoscopes I’ve used. The color is true to picture. I picked the Caribbean blue. Five stars for Littmann!P.s. I read quite a few reviews that stated the delivery packaging was awful. Bolo seems to have improved this as my Littmann came in an Bolo box with air packaging. Not just a taped up Littmann box. Very pleased!

I recently purchased this stethoscope in preparation for nursing school. The quality is great of course, and the heart and breath sounds seem to be very clear. The only problem I have found is a superficial one, and that is that the color is not at all as described and shown online. I ordered this stethoscope in Caribbean blue and as the picture shows, it is a nice medium blue/slightly green color. Although, after seeing this color in person it is clear that it is a very dark blue, almost black color. I am unsure as to whether or not i should return it for another color, as I do feel that a darker color is more professional. At first I was going to purchase the turquoise colored one, but feared that would be to unprofessional.Overall, I love the quality of this stethoscope, just beware of the color you choose. The Caribbean blue is A LOT darker than the photo shows.

As expected, this is a high quality stethoscope. My only quibble is the tubing feels a bit sticky or gummy and I haven’t found a way to resolve it. Not a great feeling against my skin.
