I went through 3 or 4 choices before I decided on this one.My critera was: ease of cleaning, 3 speeds including pulse, big mouth feed for larger items and capacity with minimum of 8-10 cups This one is 12 cup capacity. It has a decent warranty, but purchased an extension, knowing I would use this item a lot!Iv'e made humus and still trying different recipes/ingredients, I make tacos on regular basis shredding cabbage, cooked chicken or pork and cheese. I make numerous cabbage recipes including cole slaw with different ingredients, since it's so easy now .Iv'e sliced tomatoes for sandwiches The slices aren't picture perfect, but good enough with time saving for clean up. I've also started dicing fruit for fruit salads which I have learned to love from the fresh fruit flavor.This Food Processor has become a central part of my kitchen I rated it 5 stars for everything because it has lived up to it's tasks. It's rare I know, to be so pleased with a product these days -I got lucky!I'm going to give a friend for her birthday the same Food Processor. I definately recommend this product!

This won't fit under my cabinet if it's assembled. When it's not assembled, the parts must be stored someplace.

I’m on my second Hamilton Beach Food Processor this summer. The bowl of the first one hit the floor with a bang and broke. The Hamilton beach website shows this bowl to be about $10, but was out of stock. In fact, all of the separate parts for this food processor seemed to be out-of-stock. So it seems that a new food processor was needed, and I liked this one so well that I replaced it with the same food processor.I was recently told by my doctor that I needed to eat more salads for health reasons. This thing makes enough salad to last me for a couple of days.I haven’t gotten around to using the small bowl yet. The large slicing wheel works great with the large bowl, but the slicing wheel will only work with the large bowl. The chopping/mixing blade works with either bowl.There is a safety that prevents the food processor from operating unless the large food pusher is started at the top of the food chute. It just has to be started. It does not need to be pushed all of the way down. Anything you are putting into the large chute needs to be cut small enough to fit the large chute.The large food pusher has a hole in the center for a smaller food pusher. The smaller food pusher is not required to put food through. This allows for carrots, cucumbers, celery, etc, to go entirely through the smaller opening.Personally, I think it is great.

I've had this machine for almost 5 years. I've been using it just about every week for the past year and a half. About half that amount of time the first 3 and a half years. When you pour the contents of the processed food out of the bowl, it pours over an enclosed piece of the bowl and when pouring, the food goes into this section which has a small slot on the top and just a tiny hole with something in that hole on the bottom leaving very little room for anything to drain out. It was getting so dirty on my machine that I took a drill and drilled 2 holes so I could easily get water into that section and get it to drain out. I can get it much cleaner now but still not perfectly clean. The was a major design flaw of the machine and I can't understand why no one stopped the manufacturing of this machine before it got started. I know what to look for in the next machine I purchase. This one is garbage because it has to be put away dirty and thats just not right.

This food processor is our favorite. I have spent $$$ on a high end processor that went back to the store the next day because the bowl got stuck. I was told that was a known problem. This little Hamilton Beach food processor is amazing. I use it almost daily and no job is too large. This is my second one and the first lasted over 11 years. The price is unbelievable for the excellent quality and performance.

Basically, I like this food processor. I have been using Kitchenaid for years with the smaller cup inside so vwhen I saw this one with the small bowl, it was the selling point for me. Problem is: I can't figure out how to get the top on it to use it! It's not an easily accessible, no directions type of processor like my kitchenaid was. I dodgy buy another Kitchenaid because they are so heavy for me to pick up when I'm trying to use it. This Hamilton Beach was PERFECT in that regard! It's lightweight and cuts very strong and precise! I LOVE it! The design flaw is in the cleaning of the safety lock on the lid. There's no way to open it and I'm very careful about shaking the water from it really good if I hand wash it or making sure it's upside down in the dishwasher and letting it go completely through the drying cycle. Anyway, the big mouth on the lid gives me and opportunity to use it for a whole or half onion or half bell pepper or whatever. I was looking for something comparable to my Kitchenaid without the heaviness and a good price point. This fits the bill! Just be mindful of the design flaw that I warned you about with the safety lock, because otherwise I could easily see it becoming a health hazard. The four stars are for the design flaw. Otherwise, I would've given it 5 stars all day long!

I can't say enough! Perfect for basic food processing tasks! And the storage couldn't be better! Everything nests together in one place waiting for you. No need to hunt all over looking for this or that piece. Clean up is a breeze. Machine is quiet and super efficient. The ONLY drawback is the suction cups work so well I have a little trouble moving it back to resting place on counter. But what a small price to pay for the safety.

En alguna ocasión ella me lo prestó y quedé maravillada, tanto, que decidí comprar mi propio procesador. Es muy práctico para rallar los alimentos y hasta para hacer licuados. El estrenón se lo dí para rallar una jícama y más me tardé en pelarla que en lo que la rallé. Además con el recipiente más pequeño se pueden hacer salsas en segundos. Excelente electrodoméstico

Bought this for my grandmother for Xmas and she was pleased. Works as it should and lots of perks for the price. Quite large and more heavy and solid then what I expected.

Cheap and Good Quality?

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas. A little hesitant but the next processor with consistently good reviews was too expensive. So far it has exceeded all expectations. Works well and is easy to clean, nice big mouth. I have no complaints. I don't expect it to last for years and years but so far its doing the job very well.
