Keeps your floss nice and tidy!
When I was a kid I bought boat-loads of embroidery floss for making friendship bracelets. Fast forward 10 years and I still have it all. I needed a way to organize them so I bought the clear case and some extra bobbins and it's perfect! Now they're all stashed away and organized. I like the plastic better than the cardboard because it's nice and sturdy and you can reuse them!
Great for thread/floss organization
I prefer using this kind of plastic bobbin to wrap up my embroidery floss. I store them sideways in a plastic organizer, so when I open it up, I can see all of the colors at the same time. I like that these have a little spot in the corner to write the thread/floss number.

Awesome Plastic Bobbins
I love my new plastic bobbins! My thread box is so neat and organized now. I didn't order enough the first time, so needed to order more immediately. My box currently still has some cardboard bobbins and you can see the difference. The plastic ones hold the thread neatly and have a space to write in the number, so it is very easy to locate the thread you need. They hold the thread tight so there aren't loose threads everywhere. The one thing to keep in mind is to use an Ultra Fine Sharpie to write in the number. A pen won't write on the plastic and the space for the number is pretty small.
Flimsy
These are much thinner, thus flimsier, than the first set of plastic DMC bobbins I purchased. They still do the trick and they’re better than the cardboard ones, but I really wish they were thicker.
Nice & white
I disliked colored tabs.
Durable and handy bobbins.
I prefer the plastic floss bobbins over the cardboard ones because they hold up better with regular use. I find it easier to write on these bobbins without smearing the ink.Additionally, I use these bobbins to make washi tape samples for my friends. If you're looking for a way to send small amounts of decorative washi tape!
