As many other reviewers have noted, breaking the side rails down to the size that fits your filing cabinet is by far the most difficult part of the assembly process. The company's recommended method of placing the rail against a flat and sturdy surface and snapping the rail along the perforation with pliers is going to be impossible for all but the strongest individuals. I am a man of average strength and I was unable to break the rails this way. My solution was using my hacksaw to deepen the perforations until I was able to break the rail by hand. The rails then slid effortlessly into their supports and the rail system was installed in a matter of minutes. My antique filing cabinet is once again usable for its intended purpose, and the rails feel very sturdy and unlikely to fail in any way now that they are securely installed. For reference, my filing cabinet is wooden, 2 drawers, 14" deep and 12" wide, and this product fit into the drawers perfectly. This is a good product that I would purchase again if I needed to install rails in any filing cabinet.

took a moment to figure out how to slide support bar into upright piece and tighten the screw to hold securely. There's a slot to keep everything in place while you tighten. I used a dime to tighten the screw so i didn't have to go hunt for a screwdriver. lol. Worked well. The ends that can be broke off to customize size work well if you hold on each side of break with a plier.

These get only 3 stars because the screws provided for assembly are of the lowest quality imaginable. When compared to similar frames from 15 - 20 years older two features stand out. These are made of a lighter gauge of steel and the screws have a rounded head instead of a much more useful hex head. Both the newer and older screws are slot headed. The slots on the newer screws are poorly implemented causing a slot head screwdriver to easily slip. This is not an issue with the older, higher quality screws. Once assembled they work as advertised and are quite acceptable and useful. I did not use the manufacturers recommend method of adjusting the rails and instead placed them in a bench mounted vise. After tightening I was able to snap the excess of using my bare hands and simply pulling the excess towards a 90° angle. There was minimal roughness at the break line and I did not see a need to dress the edge with a file to smooth it. I would buy again and recommend but only with the above detailed caveats.

Die Idee des verstellbaren Hängerahmen ist grundsätzlich gut, hätte auch für meine Zwecke gut gepasst, wenn denn auch der Standrahmen für die Hängemappen etwas breiter wäre. Passt nicht für Hängemappen DIN A4. Siehe Fotos. Die Schienen für die Aufhängung der Hängemappen müssen in der vorgegebenen Einkerbung montiert werden, da sonst die Stabilität nicht gewährleistet ist. Die Schrauben halten zwar gut, sind aber von schlechter Qualität. Die Schlitze auf dem Schraubenkopf verformen sich ganz schnell - zu weiches Material. Die Enden an den Schienen sind sehr scharfkantig - Verletzungsgefahr! !! Sollte man das Gestell in eine Schublade stellen wollen braucht es unbedingt einen Schutz/Plastikclip o. ähnliches an den Außenkanten der Verschraubung und den Halteleisten, damit das Innere der Schublade (Holz, Kunststoff, Metall etc.) nicht zerkratzt wird.Die Scharfkantigkeit der Teile zeigte sich schon bei Lieferung, da die windige, zu dünne Verpackung durchgescheuert war und die Leisten einem schon entgegenrutschten.Also - wie schon erwähnt - gute Idee - aber qualitativ schlechtes Produkt, schlechte Verpackung - Artikel geht leider zurück.
Strong & very useful
I bought an old desk that had a filing drawer but no way to hang suspension folders so this seemed to be a good idea. It arrived quickly and with clear instructions so that I could quickly assemble it to fit the dimensions of the drawer. I now have all the files hanging with quite a lot of paperwork in them and the frame is solid and not moving or buckling…would definitely recommend it!
It works perfectly and easy to set up
It works as it should and was easy to set up. I used it within an IKEA drawer. Would highly recommend.
