We originally saw this or a similar version at the Glazer Kids Museum, set up like an ice cream parlor. This is the perfect addition for home and loved by my three year old daughter and niece. Very fun and well done.

I bought my 2.5-year-old a toy kitchen for Christmas because he enjoys playing with my niece's so much when he visits over there. A couple months later, I added this toy to another order so I could qualify for free shipping and it has been so worth it. He got this about ten days ago and has played with it every day since. The scoopers develop motor skills because they are magnetic and he loves to practice scooping the scoops from the ice cream container onto the cones, which are also magnetic so that helps the ice cream stay on the cone a little bit, especially when there are four scoops on a cone! They do still fall off when he tries to walk with all four but that's good because it's making him work on balancing and he constantly has to count them to be sure he has them all. It also makes him practice his colors because a scoop of ice cream is always sliding under a piece of furniture and he's constantly having to tell me which one is missing so I can go find it for him. He plays with this all the time and in fact, he slept with a cone and all four scoops of ice cream under his covers last night. He woke up saying, "Oh, no! Melting!" I love it that this type of toy facilitates the use of his imagination versus playing with some kind of electronic toy that you might think is a teaching toy but really does nothing for the development of critical thinking skills. Playing pretend is so important developmentally and he's still getting practice with colors and counting, not to mention actual experience with magnets. This is a great toy!

It's a nice set. The kids enjoy it. I wish the magnet that holds the ice cream to the cone was a bit stronger. They fall off without any effort which has been frustrating for the children.

I love how sturdy all the pieces feel. And the use of magnets inside the scooper and on the rest of the pieces is genius. My only complaint is that the ice cream carton is not big enough to also store the cones in, only the ice cream scoops fit.

Ice cream doesn't stick to scoops very well!
Our 3 year old daughter really likes playing with this set but the only problem is that the magnets are pretty weak. The chocolate doesn't stick to the scoop at all. The others work pretty well, but I expected them to stick to the scoopers much more strongly. I was pretty disappointed when we first opened it on Xmas.
