The Algae Cleaning Magnets are an easy solution to effectively remove algae from inside of the aquarium walls. One piece has a scrubbing side for removing algae inside of the aquarium, while the other part magnetically attaches from the outside. Each algae cleaning magnet comes with one pad for glass aquariums and one pad for acrylic aquariums. The inside scrubber magnet is bottom-weighted that will fall straight down if separated. The bowed bottom design allows the scrub pad to rest above the gravel for easy retrieval while reducing the risk of scratching the aquarium walls. Three different sizes to accommodate various glass and acrylic aquariums.

It makes keeping the tank clean so much easier and way less messy. It glides smoothly along the glass and does a great job removing algae without any scratching. Plus, the fact that it floats if it disconnects is a great bonus.We probably should’ve gone with one size larger for our tank, just to cover more surface area at once. This one still works great, it just takes a few extra swipes to get the job done. Still, it’s a solid tool and we’re happy with the purchase. Definitely recommend for any aquarium owner!

This really works! It has a strong magnet with two types of cleaning material. It effectively cleaned my tank and had no problem cleaning all 4 sides of my tank without having to lift it off the glass. That's how strong the magnets are.It's very well made, it has some weight to it. The size is good for my 16 gallon tank. Very easy to use I finished cleaning my tank in just a few minutes!

Works perfectly and does exactly what it says it does. It's super quick to learn how to use and gets the tank really clean.Most I can say is that if you have cheap gravel like I do, you could accidentally pick some up with the brush which could lead to scratches on the glass, so be careful. This also makes cleaning the bottoms of the tank a bit harder with this brush. Still, works great, though.

Bought this to use on my very large aquarium. Intentionally bought a smaller size to be able to fit in spaces without disturbing decor. The magnet on this is incredibly strong and much better than other brands I’ve tried. No issues with it falling off or becoming unattached. Multiple brush textures for acrylic and glass.

Works well at cleaning the glass. The issue is that it doesn't glide very easily over the surface and it frequently becomes dislodged. This wouldn't be so much of an issue if it floated but it sinks like a rock. You've got to be VERY careful about not getting any substrate in the scrubbing pad. I've got scratches all over my tank now. Skip this and find something that floats.

Bought the medium version which is ideal for 10mm glass. Cleans the glass well and, so far, it hasn't become detached from the outside magnet. It's quite hard work though! The only problem, which is minor, is that the inside magnet tends to vibrate or oscillate as it travels, unless you move extremely slowly. This sets up small pressure waves through the water, enough to make the heater elements wobble when you're in the vicinity, and it freaks the fish out a bit, but only while it's going on. Overall, though, I'm very pleased with it.

IMPRESSIVE ON ACRYLIC!
It get's the job done in half the time! I'm truely amazed with the power yet gentleness, of this product. I've shied away from the magnets because I have a Bio Orb, round tank (16gal), it's acrylic, expensive, I'm afraid of scratching and the majority of these algae cleaning magnets are not reccommened for acrylic.I read the reviews, liked what I saw and decided to take the plunge. It arrived today, rolled up my sleeves and a job that would normally have taken 45 mins., was finished in 15-20! I have arthritis in my hands and typically worsens when using the tank brush, not bothered at all with the Aqueon Algae Cleaning Magnet.The price point was good (worth every penny), next day delivery and I enthusiastically endorse this product!
