These transmission were notorious for acting upBut 1995 was supposedly the year ford got it fixed. Maybe mine is an early production 1995, the shifting glitch wasn’t super awful, just annoying. A bottle of this stuff cured it!

The transmission slippage on my 2004 Ford F150 Supercrew has been diminished significantly since I put a bottle of this in. Recommend using it on the older vehicles to make them last a little longer.

It works! Older Fords may say use Mercon in the owners guide so you add Dex Merc sometimes because it says it's compatible. BUT in the intervening years your transmission has been switched over to Mercon V (5)OH NO! Not compatible with the quart and a half you just poured in.This product modifies that wrong fluid so that it works and runs great.

Suctioned out a bit over 4 quarts of atf from ford taurus and then refilled with this and 4 fresh quarts of amalie mercon V. Fluid feels a lot better and passes the paper towel test! To check your ATF drop a couple drops off dip stick onto paper towel, put dip stick in bottle of new atf and drop the same number of drops on a clean spot. Compare the spread and color of the fluids, good fluid will spread quickly through the towel, old fluid will mostly stay in same spot and not wick through paper towel like fresh fluid does. Glad I did this before end of July and August which is hard on ATF.

475000 kms on transmission and counting
ATF Supplement,
This seem to be good additive, I was hoping that it might help lower the temperature, in my Transmission, 2014 Ford EDGE. I did a drain and fill 6.5 L. two times, and the last fill I used the green Lubegard for Ford with the fill. The highest I see the Temperature now is 188 de.F at 23 de.C out side. It shifts good in and out of all 6 gears. I had seen 205 de.F before running aggressively using Ford Mercron LV. Not good, This time round I used AMSOIL ATF. I only ran 105 kmh for 100 Kilometers to see 188 de.F. Still not sure, weather or not ,it is going to run cooler. My bet, is if I run aggressively, it will run into the 200's again. I guess the only way to run cooler is to install another Trans. Cooler. The one on it now is big.
Advertised as "preventing torque converter shudder" - sadly the transmission ...
Advertised as "preventing torque converter shudder" - sadly the transmission in my Grand Marquis still chattered afterwards when the torque converter locks up. It's more of a preventative maintenance product - it should be used during each fluid-replacement cycle as opposed to when the trans is already having issues. No such thing as a transmission rebuild in a bottle. I'm going to try it in my 2005 Ford Five Hundred.
