I rarely write reviews but this gasket worked great in fixing my pool leak problems.I had previously replaced the valve that was 8 years old but my old gasket looked ok so I left it in. Mistake. Always replace this gasket when a pool leak is in play. Took a little while to get old gasket out and area cleaned up but was a simple fix. Installed new gasket (smooth side down) with a little gasket adhesive on smooth side and a little lubricant on ridge side. Reinstalled valve and noticed right away it was harder to press down to install than before. (Good sign that old gasket was wore out). Let it set for 24 hours for adhesive to fully set up. I was previously seeing a small amount of water coming out of backwash pipe even when pump was off. Now I don’t see any. 2 days since install of new gasket and pool has not lost any water. Problem solved with a $13 gasket whereas pool company would have charged hundreds to come out and fix it.

Product is great. But it’s a real PAIN to remove the old gasket. After 2 plus hours and a break removing the old gasket this is a perfect fit. A little drop of glue here and there and let it dry for 30 min then put back together. No issues

Gasket is high quality and exactly as described. It is a REAL pain to remove the old gasket. Would take at least 2+ hours, score the plastic and still not completely remove the old material. Go for it if you have patience and 2+ hours to waste, otherwise just replace the whole thing, well worth the money.

The product description stated "Pentair" brand, but what I received was in a clear bag with a white label that had B004VTGUH8 printed on it. That's it. The rubber gasket appears to be of good quality and I needed to get the leaking gasket replaced today, so I went ahead and kept it / installed it today. I hope it holds up and works as expected. As stated by others, the hardest part of the installation was removing the old gasket. It was the original gasket and was glued down entirely - making it extremely challenging to remove and clean out all of the old residue without damaging the plastic housing and channels that the rubber gasket seats in. I'll update my review if it fails prematurely, but removing 1 star from 5 to 4 due to the packaging / lack of "Pentair" name on it, when that's how it was advertised and why I bought this one - wanting the best quality gasket I could get since it is a pain to replace and I don't want to have to do it again for a LONG time!

I just opened my pool and realized there was a leak in my multi port valve. I ordered this and received the replacement in a few days. This was a perfect replacement, took just a few minutes to install and fits perfectly.

Good quality rubber, fit perfectly once I got all the old gasket completely cleaned out (important). Has a nice sturdy ridge on top to seal against the valve rotor, some cheap gaskets are just flat.
