I bought a 100 pack of Persona 10+ years ago that ran out recently. I was disappointed that the Persona blades had been discontinued so gave these a shot based on a sample pack that I had left over when I began wet shaving years ago. I have a relatively light beard, but I shave both my head and face. The blades work very well for me - I can get at least 5 shaves from each blade, so these should last another 10 years. I'm so glad I switched to the safety razor - takes some practice, but well worth it. Makes shaving fun and inexpensive.

In my opinion these are very good blades at a very good price. Maybe they're not the sharpest or longest lasting, but when I use them correctly and let the weight of the razor do the work, I get 3 or 4 nice close smooth shaves.

I use these to shave in my double sided razor everyday and they are top of the line quality. They leave my face feeling baby smooth, I have still not ran out of these. This purchase is a long term investment. The blades keep their sharpness for a long time before beginning to dull. If you are a regular shaver then these blades are for you

While I hear that getting one of the variety blade packs is best for a new safety-razor shaver, this deal was too good to pass up so I had to order it.These blades are incredibly sharp. They come in a big green thin cardboard box and there's 20 little plastic boxes inside with 5 razors each. On other blade-holders you get a slot on the bottom to put your old blades when they get dull, that is not the case here. The bottom is solid and instead you have to open the little flapdoor in order to take out AND put in (old) blades. There are 2 compartments in the main compartment, one for new, one for old. That's not an issue, just saying how these are different from other blades I have used.These blades are incredibly sharp, and I would definitely say that they are sharper than the Sharks that came with my safety razor when I bought it. The blades are great.The Arko soap is the main draw for me to this deal. I thought it would be terrible and messy. It's not. It's honestly kind of amazing to rip a little bit of the foil off one end, wet your face, wet the stick, rub the stick on your face and get no lather or way of knowing you have soap on your face whatsoever, and then take your wet brush and smother your face with it and all of a suddenly lather magically forms on your face and brush, enough for like 3 passes. A little goes a long way and its really great but you need to watch the moisture content of your brush as you are building the lather right on your face and there's no way of knowing its too wet until it starts dripping all over your sink off your face. Everyone in my household loves the smell (except the dog and the cats who ran away). It's honestly really strong, but not unpleasant. It kind of smells like that blue toiletbowl cleaner that they always doublewrap at the grocery store because the stuff is so caustic. It smells like that except more fresh and manly like musky Dove soap I guess. Let the stick dry when you're done, and don't be messy and it wont fall apart. It's honestly not that easy to ruin and even if you do it's cheap. I read some people smash it into a bowl and use it like a traditional shave soap. I don't get why you would do that when the stickform is so convenient. NO BOWL NO MUG just the stick and your brush. After using Arko I kind of feel that building lather in a mug is a waste of time. I wish Proraso had a shave-stick.With as cheap as the blades are, you can use a fresh blade every time you shave. With as cheap and great as the Arko is, you don't have to waste money trying other fancy shaving soaps and getting a sub-par shave. Arko, and C.O. Bigelow and these blades are wonderful. You don't need anything else.

I've tried Gillette, Feather, Personna, Astra, Wilkinson, VanDerHagen blades. These BY FAR are my favorite blades.Upon reading the many reviews on blades across Bolo, I've come to the conclusion that everyone has their favorite; I assume because everyone's face and hair growth is different. I'm certain nobody likes a bloody face, so each review is subjective to the particulars of one's own shaving style and face. To that end, I'll try to identify my shaving style as well as my hair growth and my hair thickness in an attempt to help you decide if these will work for you.I'm going to split this up into two different categories: Objective, and Subjective. Objectives means these are the factual differences, and subjective are my personal opinion.First, Objective. These blades are individually wrapped in wax paper and separated out in 5-count plastic containers that second as razor disposal containers. I think this is a fairly critical consideration, as you're going to have to ultimately dispose of these razors in a safe fashion. This precludes you from having to purchase a separate disposal container. They are neatly and professionally packaged. The blades themselves are stamped with a 1,2,3,4 marker that can easily be seen from the underside of most common razors. This, I assume, is so that you can rotate the blade in such a way as to keep track of which blade (and which side) you are currently using. I'm shaving 4 times with each blade. I shave on 1, then turn the blade for shave 2, then flip the blade for shave 3 and 4. At 10 cents per blade, I get 4 shaves, which costs me 2.5 cents per shave. I'm confident I could shave at least twice on each side, but at some point, it's not worth the effort. So, I get 4 shaves per blade.Now to the subjective. I've tried numerous other blades and I simply couldn't get a consistent shave. One time, I'd have a semi-smooth shave, and others, I'd cut my face to shreds. This was particularly true with personna and with the VanDerHagen blades. I would approach each shave with trepidation. I also noticed that if I paused during a stroke, I would get a nice cut across my face with the personna blades. The Astra and VanDerHagen blades tended to pull at my whiskers rather than to actually cut them.I am a Caucasian fair-skinned male. I shave daily and have semi-sensitive skin. I don't have any major skin issues like acne that would complicate shaving. I have fairly fine hair, but I tend to have alot of it. If I don't shave for one day, it is slightly noticible, but my face is extremely prickly. Because my hair grows fast and is quite fine, I have a particular need to have a comfortable consistent shave. The Derby blades deliver that. Each shave is consistent, smooth, and close.I've been very happy with these blades. They work perfectly for me. If you have similar characteristics to me, these blades will likely work nicely for you too. Best of luck.

The shipping and handling was great, but the actual product was not that great for me. I did not receive a smooth shave like how I did with the Astras, but it might be different for someone else YMMV. For the price i cant complain that much.
Good blade
It's very good with my skin, I don't have skin irritation and had a very smooth shave. It's not sharp as Feathers blades but it's effective enough for me. It's good combo with R41 Safety razors for me.
Sehr gute Rasierklingen - für mich.
Diese Derby Extra Rasierklingen (älteres Model, gibt ja auch schon die "new" Sorte) ist für mich die absolute lieblings Rasierklinge. Die "new" Sorte ist auch ok, aber die "ältere" Sorte ist mir noch ein bischen lieber. Habe sie auch letztes Jahr für meine Hochzeitsrasur benutzt. Für mich ene gutmütige Klinge, die auch mal den ein oder anderen kleinen Fehler / Ausrutscher verzeiht ohne gleich zu schneiden. Rasurergebniss gut. Rasurbrandt habe ich auch nicht. Der Preis super. Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen und kann sie auch sehr gut weiter empfehlen. Aber ich weiß, nicht jeder Mann kommt mit jeder Klinge gleich gut klar. Haut, Barthaar, Rasierer, Seife usw. spielen eine entscheidende Rolle. Bei mir ist das so: Ich rasiere mich 2x - 3x je Woche mit meinem King C Rasierhobel. (Und natürlich der Derby Extra) Ich habe ein rot - dunkelbraun - rote Barthaare, nicht sehr dicht, und eine hellere Haut mit etwas Sommersprossen. Ich benutze meistens die Seifen Proraso Weiß oder von Tabac original. Ich bin mit dieser Kombination sehr zufrieden. Und werde das so beibehalten. Schöne Grüße aus dem Westerwald.
