5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to put together and beautiful
Love this stool! I looked for a stool for my kitchen for weeks and this was the perfect height for me to sit on and cut things and prep at the counter. The price point was excellent and it’s very simple and beautiful while still feeling sturdy and comfortable!
4.0 out of 5 stars Yes you need some tools to put this together
Update: 😂. I bought another one. This one was much easier to put together, I checked the screw holes they were good. One was off center but didn’t seem to be a problem. The little plugs were not sized for the screw holes… it’s a shop stool for my grandson so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Whoever thought you only needed the allen wrench provided to put this stool together had a cruel sense of humor. I got this stool after some thought just to see if it was as hard to put together as some of the reviews... well if you don't have some tools and are not familiar with woodworking yeah... Impossible. I have some skill but am not an expert. 1) The holes for the screws are not deep enough by about an 1/8 of an inch or so. Impossible to screw this large screw in without measuring the length of the screw with a drill bit an using tape to measure the amount of depth to drill the hole. 2) Yes, the wooden plugs to cover the screw holes are not the right size, but it was size of the holes not the plugs in my case. Also, if you did not make the holes deep enough for the screws you probably did not get the screw driven all the way in and it is protruding a little and not letting you put in the plug all the way in so it would appear not to fit. It took me 15 or 20 minutes to assemble the stool after I deepened the screw holes. It seems to be sturdy. It is a shop stool, not for your home as some of the plugs may go in too far and are not very attractive. 3) What do you need for tools: an electric drill and a set of bits. I doubt there is any quality control so you decide the size of the bit and how deep to make the hole. You need a good allen wrench. Preferably with a handle, even with the holes the right depth the encluded allen wrench would not work very well. You need a wooden mallet to get the plugs into place, some will look great, some may be too deep an not look very good. Don't expect the little pads on the bottom of legs to last long, but if the stool is in your garage or shop then that's not an issue. So overall it is probably worth the price if you have the done the noted work. Given the poor quality control your stool could have problems that mine didn't and you'd have to figure it out. The individual parts (except the plugs/plug holes) are engineered well enough to put it together without an issue in my case. Bottom line I would not buy this unless you have a little skill and a drill, drill bits, and a good allen wrench. A wooden mallet was helpful. Don't expect this to be attractive, it is a functional stool.
5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy
Very solid nd sturdy. Simple to assemble, but it came with seven page instruction book! The only instruction to remember is: don't fully tighten the bolts until they're all in. I put a tiny dab of wood glue on the wooden plugs to make sure they never pop out.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stool is good. Plugs are crap
This is a nice stout little stool. Not particularly easy to assemble. Requires two strong people. One to hold the rung, one to turn the Allen wrench. Hard on the hands. The wooden plugs that come with it are useless. You have to drive them in with a mallet, which mars the surface. Then they pop out anyway. Other than that, the finish is nice, the structure is simple. It is well packaged. An affordable way to pick up a nice looking, standard stool. My husband said he sure wouldn't want to assemble a whole set.
5.0 out of 5 stars Quality and service
Delivered earlier than promised and very easy to put together. Looks great at my bar. Very happy with this purchase.
3.0 out of 5 stars Good stool, but not easy to assemble.
Some of the screw holes needed to be enlarged. Even though I drilled them out the right size it was still very difficult to get the screws in with that little Allen wrench. I eventually rubbed the screws with a bar of soap to make it a bit easier. You'll also need a hammer to jam in the nubs that cover the screws in the holes.

Loved the color. Won't wobble
Great for cooking on.
Very sturdy, perfect for my counter, and good quality.

screws dont align properly
doesn't come with good material and predrills. Wood was great quality, worth the price. The alignment is medicore. The screws it came with didn't align properly and wasn't pre-drilled, required ALOT of effort to fit properly. 1 of the screws kept stripping and i had to come back with wood glue to ensure it stuck together. Sturdy, and my family needed it so didn't return, pretty sure it will last awhile, but expected much more for a $80 stool
Never have I ever....
... Purchased an item that couldn't be assembled with the tools provided. This stool is actually impossible to assemble. The screws are too large for the holes so they cannot go through. I just can't understand what went wrong here, it's a shame because the stool itself looks fine, either way it's going back. A bit of a waste of time because I needed it for a photo shoot.
Screws left us feeling... you know.
The screws stripped almost immediately from the Allen wrench.
