If Grey's Anatomy has sometimes foundered over its lifetime, season 6 gets the story lines back on track and keeps the action moving, and engaging, in every single episode. The cast changes are small but extremely effective: the growing focus on Owen (Kevin McKidd) and his relationship with Cristina (Sandra Oh), and the departure of one of the main doctors of Seattle Grace. The season focuses on several new world orders at the hospital, including the merger with another hospital and the subsequent jockeying for position by the two groups of doctors, and the battle of the chief, Dr. Webber (the amazingly talented James Pickens Jr., never better), with alcohol, and the resulting shift in power on the staff. The personal lives of the doctors are involving and sometimes surprising--the relationship of Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie (Sara Ramirez) takes on new importance and complications as the season plays out. For once, the coupledom of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and McDreamy, Derek (Patrick Dempsey), is not in question, yet the writers manage to focus on making their challenges seem very real against the backdrop of turmoil in the workplace.
This season of Grey's Anatomy also features one of the most intense, memorable, and elegantly executed season finales in recent memory. A former patient's family member, carrying an apparently bottomless grudge against Seattle Grace, affects the whole staff--the whole city--in a final episode that requires at least a couple of hankies. A few years have passed, and being summer (with many shows on hiatus), I decided to watch Greys reruns for a second time. Season 6 is another good one. I just finished watching the episode "Time Warp." It was an interesting peek into the past. Gosh 1982 being so long ago, to me it seems more present-day than history. This episode helps you realize how much has changed, indeed! To the characters and to the times in general. Only criticism I have is that the actor playing the younger Ellis Grey should have been wearing blue contacts, so as to look more like her older self, as Kate Burton has very light blue eyes. The casting was so good, it's a shame that the dark brown eye color was so distracting.

I have watched Grey's Anatomy since it's premiere episode of season one. I was immediately drawn in and became a fan overnight. I own every season on DVD, every book, poster, calender, refridgerator magnents and key chains they have put out. To put mildly I am one of the biggest fans of the show. No other show has ever gotten to me the way Greys has. I see myself in Meredith so strongly and I believe that is one of the ways this show has become what it is now, people can relate to the characters in a way other tv shows cant convey. I also work in a Hospital and a lot of the things that go on is so similar to Greys. Not the shooting rampage in the season finale of course but many other things ring true. I highly recommend season 6 as it is just as intense and wonderfully written and acted as the first 5 seasons were. Can't wait for the season 7 premiere September 23rd!Sarah

I bought this for my mother, I honestly dont know how she got into Grey's Anatomy, she recently retired after having worked 3 jobs for the past 20+ years so I guess now she is just enjoying kicking back and one day came across a rerun of the show. Needless to say, she is addicted. She really seriously loves this show, its all she talks about, she calls me just to tell me that someone went around shooting all the surgeons because his wife died. She sends me text messages at work telling me that someone ran to stop the procedure on a patient that is allergic to something they were injecting...and as you can see I still have no idea what she is talking about.But she loves this show, I bought her all of the seasons so that she can catch up, and of course she called me at work asking me if I was going to watch the New Season with her.

In all honesty, the very first episode of this season made me very un-sure how to feel. I was so shocked by what had transpired that I had to convince myself to stick around. Oh gosh, am I glad I did. What an amazing season. The characters have developed so immensely and it is incredibly entertaining to watch. Not to mention, the actors were spot on in their characterizations. Such excellent acting this season. The story lines were interesting, engaging, and really heart wrenching at times.The season finale was the most intense two-hour television event I had ever watched. The entire time I was on the edge of my seat. I showed it to some people who absolutely loathed the series, and they ended up changing their minds.This is a must have for anyone who enjoys down right good television.

Love this show, love that it's on Bolo Prime. I am displeased with this particular season b/c when I received it, NEW, the final two discs were scratched!! I'm not even talking like a tiny barely noticeable scratch, I mean like WHOA! I double checked my order to confirm I purchased a NEW item and not USED or REFURBED and I did purchase NEW. I decided to see if it would play uninterrupted, and fortunately it did. This 4 star review is more for the manufacturer than the show itself. When people purchase a NEW item, it is expected to not have any defect or blemishes, especially ones that could potentially compromise the intended use of the product. Be more careful manufacturer!

I've read a lot of negative reviews about Grey's Anatomy, but in my opinion the show is getting better and better. We are shown real character growth and development, and although story lines may not go the way the fans always want, I believe that Shonda Rhimes and co-writers have an endgame that will leave loyal viewers satisfied.I was pleased with the price and condition of my DVD set, as well as the quick turnaround from when it was ordered to when it was delivered. I've yet to have a problem with Bolo.On a side note, I watch all my TV shows with closed captioning and it irked me a bit that there were a couple of typos on the subtitles, most noticibly in the season finale.

Series 5 had the most fantastic final episode. Still get goosebumps thinking about it. Shocking, exciting, and fantastic. What is the reason for making us all wait so long for the dvd release after the series finishes on tv? You will certainly not be disappointed in series 6. May sound quite sad, but my daughter and I and my friends all believe this is the highlight of the week. The final episode on series 6 is OUTSTANDING. You are on the edge of your seat from the beginning. The writers are certainly extremely talented as are the cast. Each character that is introduced just continues to grow on you each week until you love them as much as the others. Cant praise Greys Anatomy enough!!
