This product works great. I used it on a patio with a fine type stone as contractors dripped paint on it. I tried many things to removed it without success. I tried this product - Sunnyside Hi-speed with low expectations but it worked great. For me, I applied it twice. 1) apply and let sit for 30+ min, then use a wire brush. Not much was removed in this first phase. 2) apply again and wait 30+ minutes, the paint was removed with the wire brush. Little to no trace of the paint stain left. You cannot spray it out of the bottle. It pumps out, then spread it over the paint or material you want to remove. This did not bother me as the product works.
5.0 out of 5 stars It works
I needed to strip the top of a large Drexel Heritage dining table. I had to shake and apply the contents onto a rag and then onto the table as the sprayer does not work efficiently but with that being said, I left it on for the 30 minutes and it scraped off pretty easily I was able to do the entire table with relatively no effort, I did go over the area obviously with my sander after I stripped it but this stuff does remove the original finish. I would 100% use this product again.
1.0 out of 5 stars Save your money.
Too think to spray. What does com out has no control. The sprayer is substandard and the product doesn’t really work. Don’t buy it.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works with some minor issues
Bright red enamel spray paint on my concrete side walk and stamped concrete wall. Agggghhh. I wasnt sure what to buy so I bought the 2 in the picture just in case. I tried each on a different patch to compare. For overal all this one won hands down. The white one took less time to work but required more scrubbing. This one (red) suggests 30 min to 1hr but on the side walk we saw instant results. It definitely works better on flat surfaces where the solution can pool. On the wall we had to use a lot of the product to get the coverage suggested and in the worse spot we had to do 2 treatments. However even in the first time it took a substantial amount off we did have to use wire brush but not really that much scrubbing. It wasnt 100% effective some of the outlines were faintly visible. The spray nozzle was also hard to get workingI had to unscrew it and pump the nozzle in the air until clear before it would work. The spray paint used on was a week old.
3.0 out of 5 stars There are much better strippers out there
Let's start at the beginning with the spray bottle. The stripper is thick. You could dislocate your finger trying to get it to come out of the sprayer. So, why put it in a spray bottle to begin with? Then there is the unholy stench. You don't ever want to use this in a place where you might want to breathe over a period of 3 or more days. It's like finding grandma's trunk in the attic and opening it to reveal (gasp) 75 pounds of moth balls. It's so vile I can't find words enough to describe it. Does it strip? Yes. Does it do it well? No. It's very unforgiving if you should have to leave your project for more than an hour or so. When it dries it is nearly impossible to remove. Try Citistrip instead. Works fast, stays workable for 24 hours and smells pleasantly of oranges. It's more expensive, but well worth the extra $$ to avoid this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing
This product is amazing and very user friendly. I encountered a pebblestone driveway with a lot of overspray from a major project which had set in for several months. I sprayed the area and let it sit for about 30 minutes then went over it with a pressure washer and the spray paint was completely gone. I did have to pressure wash the entire driveway after so it would match but it looked great afterwards. I would definitely recommend this product.
5.0 out of 5 stars best stuff ever
wife ran over a paint can on the road and covered the back of the car and bumper. Was dried fully before she realized what happened. Nothing even began to take the paint off until I tried this product. paint almost immediately started dissolving and after an hour of soaking, wiped right off. Had to do a second application because the paint was so think when I wiped the the first coat it was smearing even more, so a second spray and wiped cleaned up perfectly. no damage to any of the car surfaces. Also, she threw a new tan coat into the dryer because it was wet from rain. Well, she had lipstick in the pocket. opened up and basically painted the inside of dryer and the coat with red, all over. This spray took it off the dryer and also sprayed the whole coat, let it soak in, ran it through a was cycle with a few rag towels and the coat is as good as new. We really thought the coast was garbage until I tried this.
2.0 out of 5 stars No. Spray bottle didn't spray and the horrible smell lingered for days. However, it worked well.
I have an open-air workspace I use for stripping paints and varnishes and use a respirator, just in case. Having said that, the smell of this product lingered for days even in the open air of my workspace. That might not be so bad if not for the acrid, chemical smell left by the product. It permeated nearly everything around it. I had on gloves and never came into contact with the gel yet my gloves and hands smelled for days of chemicals and oranges. It wasn't a slight smell, either. It was very pronounced and noticeable by others. On the other hand (no pun intended), it worked well enough. You must make sure you thoroughly shake the gel before you use it as mine separated into a nasty, thick oil and a thin milky liquid that wouldn't be affective for its intended use case. If you can manage the smell and don't mind thoroughly shaking the gel for a couple of minutes and do not need the pray bottle functionality, it isn't bad. Especially for the price. For me, I spend a few extra $$ and buy something that works just as well and doesn't smell as offensive and revolting as this does.
