Cooking from scratch is made easier with a stand mixer, and made all the more literal with this grain mill attachment. Use it to make flour out of wheat, corn, rye, oats, rice, buckwheat, barley, and millet--any low-moisture, non-oily grain (peanuts and coffee are a no-no with this tool). Make up to 10 cups at a time. The mill is sturdy, heavy, and easy to assemble and attach to the mixer's hub. Adjust the knob to the desired grind, fill the unit with grains, and crank it up to 10. When you're through, brush it clean with the small brush included in the kit. If you need to, wash it by hand, but don't put it in the dishwasher. --Betsy Danheim

5.0 out of 5 stars A great value for the price
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I read many of the reviews before I purchased this grain mill. I decided to take a shot so I would at least know what to expect. It was definitely worth the price. As it turns out, I am very happy with this product. Some of the reviews said that the mill is not sturdy and in some occasions, it actually fell off. I will admit there is a learning curve here. I have the KitchenAid professional 5+ stand mixer, which I bought refurbished at least two decades ago. I wasn’t sure if it was up to the task. When I attached the mill the first time I felt it vibrating a little bit as I made my first batch of flour from wheat berries. I also noticed that the screw that holds the mill onto the mixer does loosen a bit while the machine is working, so I lend a hand, and tighten the screw as needed while the grain mill grinds the wheat berries. The directions are easy to follow, I didn’t have any problem with dust level, it’s very easy to use and easy to clean. As I removed the mill from the mixer, a tiny bit of flour and a few wheat berries, maybe a tablespoon full, fell out of the mill, other than that it was easy to use and worth every penny.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid heavy Works Well even on an older mode Kitchen Aid l Mixer
I would have given it a 5 star review but for a few issues with my old Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. I worried since the mixer was so old it might not be compatable but it was! This was one of the reasons I was hesitant to order a mill for the kitchen aid but decided to give it a try. This worked well on my older model Kitchen Aid mixer. The weight of it was so heavy that it kind of sagged toward where the grinder was. I had to take off the bowl from the stand because the grain would wind up in front of it but it did not leave enough space below the older mixer design to place the bowl in front of it to catch the grain as it came through. I had to steady the mixer base while it ground the grains. I was happy that it worked and the fine grain seems good for baking. I have not had time to bake yet. I used a 24 oz bag of Kamut whole grain wheat to try it out. I fed the grinder in segments of about 2 cups at a time. It took a long time to get through the bag. It seemed a little louder than the normal mixer alone. It does not allow you to wash it in water. There was no smell to the actual grinder but the grain smelled very good that it produced. I know other people with Kitchen Aid Mixers and noticed theres had a different design than mine. I have a base that the metal bowl locks into. Thus, your experience may not be the same as mine. Again, I would give it 5 stars but for a few issues lining up an bowl to catch the grain and the weight of the grinder. I think it is a great value because of the quality of the grain it produces. I tried different levels too. I it has 12 levels of grain. Each level is different. It was very easy to set up and use.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for small batches
Great for 2 loaves of Rye Bread. It might grind hot for bigger batches
4.0 out of 5 stars Overall would buy again
The media could not be loaded. Have had for a few months and would definitely buy again.Pros:-grinds the grain really fine-there are two options for grain size, I’ve only used the really finely grained oneCons:-it is pretty loud (which is to be expected)-there are some extras that gets stuck in the top, but I just leave it there for the next use since I use it so often.-it’s best to use a taller bowl or hold it high like I am in the video because it gets grain dust everywhere from the mixer spinningFYI:-Definitely listen to the instructions to shut it off after 15 minutes, it runs the kitchen-aid really hot.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works great 👍
Works great!
1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid buying this or you will need to buy a whole new ktichenaid mixer.
If I could give zero stars I would.I am somebody who almost never leaves reviews just because I don’t have the time to put into them, but I wanted to post this warning for others. This mill attachment seemed like a great idea, with mostly a good reviews, but our KitchenAid has needed extensive work since we use this the one time. My husband already had to replace some parts after using this attachment and said that he feels the next time we use the milling attachment. The whole KitchenAid is going to die.We noticed with the first use that the machine was really slowing down and getting very hot so we had to turn it off for multiple breaks and all in all it took over an hour to mill 1 pound of wheat berries. We had to stop numerous times to avoid overheating. We have since missed the return window so now we are stuck with an attachment that we spent quite a bit of money on, and the machine that it is breaking and is going to cost us $400 to replace.Take it from me and just spend the extra money on a Nutra mill, or you’re going to end up spending that money to replace your KitchenAid mixer due to this attachment.
5.0 out of 5 stars Where has this been my whole life.
I decided to jump into the world of baking with freshly milled nutritious grains for my family. Great affordable solution for milling wheat berries. I use it on the finest setting, and had 4 cups of flour in no time. Baked a beautiful loaf of freshly milled bread! Everyone loved it, and so much more healthy than store bought.

Simple to clean.

Buen material y duradero, funciona muy bien, un poco ruidoso y con uso extenso tanto la batidora como el molino tienden a calentarse, pero para moliendas urgentes y de poca cantidad funciona muy bien.
Nice!!!!
Nice mill for small grinding
Missing items
Products related to mill ....there are one or more missing items....experiencing same for the second time.
Good, what you'd expect for a lower price point than dedicated home mills.
So far, I've made flour from hard red wheat to make naan and a mix of the hard red and rye berries to make a rye loaf. It was a bit slow to grind, but I was expecting that and am not fussed - I'm a hobbyist and not in a rush. The flour was more than fine enough for these applications. The naan was surprisingly good for a whole wheat flour - it was perfectly soft and tasted great. The loaf was also very nice. I'm a bit hesitant to use this for cakes or pasta without having more tools to separate the bran, but will give it a try!
