These are well made heavy duty shears. I'm sure they will last a lifetime as they are perhaps even heavier then the pair they are replacing which I have had for over 55 years and still work but are difficult. I probably could get them a professional sharpening and replace the lock nut and bolt joining them but I thought it was time for a new pair and this style is kind of hard to find around here.

I am on my second set and use them for not only grass but also trimming small bushes. The shears are made out of forged steel and don't break. They will eventually get dull and are very difficult to resharpen. I attempted to resharpen a pair that I have. OK for those small bushes and vines but no good for grass. The price I paid was very fair and the shipping was very quick. I now have a pair for grass and another for those pesky vines and bushes. Highly recommended and the seller I bought them from was fast shipping and the cost of the shears was better than in the stores.

This is not a good trimmer for grass around a tree or curb that your mower can’t get. The handle and blade are at the same angle so it’s hard to use. Also, the spring isn’t strong enough, after one season, it sticks.

Overall I am pretty happy with these. I got them to trim grass from around flowers and plants that I don't want to get the string-trimmer too close to. The only issues that I have are that I inadvertently engage the lock rather often and the rubber coating on the handles rotates around the handles while using them...it doesn't come off though so its really a minor annoyance. Overall, I would buy these again if they wear out...which I don't think they will cuz they are pretty sturdy.

I bought these to replace clippers that mysteriously disappeared over the winter, intending to use them for several stands of tough ornamental grass. The previous ones had a much longer handle and blade, but the items from Fiskars that looked similar clearly said they were for hedges, not for grass, so I bought the grass shears. I wish I hadn't.Did they cut my thick ornamental grass this spring? Yes. But thanks to the shorter handle & blades, it took longer and required substantially more effort. Plus other reviewers suggest they'll go dull quickly. I really wish I had taken a chance on the hedge clippers instead.If you've got more "grassy" ornamental grass, these will probably work fine. If your grass is thick and resembles a small branch more than grass blade, look elsewhere.

It cuts well but it's not the most comfortable tool.
I used it to cut some of our smallish lawn, especially around the edges. While it does the job, it's a bit jarring on the hand. The opening and closing of the scissors is not as smooth as I'd like.

Eine Ausnahme im FISKARS-Programm
Eigentlich mag ich viele FISKARS -Produkte nicht. Da ist mir einfach zuviel Plastik dran. Diese Gartenschere (Gras-Schere!) ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Ausnahme! Aus einem Stück geschmiedete Griffe mit sehr scharfen Schnittflächen. Die TOP-Alternative zum Rasenkantenschneider. Man muss sich nur bücken! Bitte beachten: das ist keine Ast- oder Strauchschere. Die Kraftübertragung ist wegen der tollen Schnittleistung durchaus ausreichend für ganze Grasbüschel, nicht jedoch für Äste oder als Rosenschere geeignet.
Gute Schere mit Einschränkung
Das ist eine gute kleine Heckenschere. Sie sieht jedenfalls so aus. Sie ist gut geeignet zum schneiden der Rasenkanten. Auch dickere Rasenbüschel. Die Griffe wurden schon mehrfach bemängelt. Meine Hände passen gut um die geöffnete Schere herum. Beim schneiden aber rutscht die Hand immer nach vorn. Muss dann anhalten und die Hand wieder nach hinten schieben. Es fehlt im vorderen Teil Bremse für die Hand. Ein kleiner gnubbel reicht schon. Hierfür habe ich einen Stern abgezogen. Sonst ist diese Schere empfehlenswert.
