I’ve made Jambalaya from scratch a few times, but never have been able to get the seasonings quite right. Zataran’s has it down perfectly and this smaller size box is good for just me for a couple of meals. It’s easy to fix - all you need to add is a medium, pre-cooked & cubed chicken breast, one Aidell’s Anduille sausage sliced and lightly sautéed if desired and some cubed ham if you have any left-overs or a small ham steak - maybe use just half. Mix it all in the size pot suggested; fix a salad while it cooks, add some crusty bread and dinner is ready in about 35 minutes. And if you like it spicy don’t forget to bring the Tabasco sauce to the table.

My husband and I love to cook together. I had been wanting to try jambalaya so I ordered two boxes of the Zatarain's mix. I thought it would be a little spicier than it was. I did make it according to the directions and added Shrimp and green onions. In the future, I will make it from scratch but would definitely use this mix again with some additions. Great for a base or those on a budget or time crunch

This product was overpriced
I should have looked closer at the size of this package, I thought it was the family size even though I thought it was still expensive. It was not the larger size just the regular size.I found another company on Bolo and purchased five packages and it was still $4.00 cheaper for all five than this one.My fault but I won’t do it again.
