It is no wonder that this is a number one best seller in the electric wine bottle opener category. Number ones are infamous for failing to live up to their hype. Luckily this electric opener merits to be number one and my best guess is that this electric opener will be in this position for a long time. The electric opener goes for $17.99. Shop around and you will not find a better value than this one. There are pricey electric openers that fail in what they do and as such there is no need of investing in such yet this is a viable solution. There is nothing much to say about this opener other than it is a cordless electric bottle opener that removes the cork in a matter of seconds. The haste in which it opens the bottles is simply amazing. You can open up to 2 wine bottles in a minute. It can open a number of bottles in a single charge and if that is not convenience then I don’t know what is. I am sure this is the kind of electric opener you will probably find in a busy bar or hotel. Efficiency and quality are the two words that best describe this electric opener. There is a foil cutter that removes seals first before removing the cork. The handle has a gentle grip which ensures that you will not have to keep positioning the electric opener. The design of the opener is also outstanding. It is very easy to use the electric opener. Just place it on top of the wine bottle in an upright position. Press the switch on the opener and the opener will start removing the cork. It will stop once the cork has been removed from the bottle. Then lift the opener away from the bottle, remove the stuck cork by pressing the upper part of the switch and the cork will be released and the party can begin. There is even no elbow grease required to operate the opener. Read the manual if you are confused about the operations but the bottom line is that the opener is very easy to operate and you shouldn’t be perturbed because you can’t use it. It is a time saver and a WOW factor for your guests.

Have used these for years, and they're great except for the steadily declining battery life. They originally lasted 3-4 years, but now only last 1-2 years. Maybe that's how Oster has been able to maintain the same price over many years?

I learned the hard way that this doesn't work with synthetic corks (at least mine doesn't), they tend to get stuck. Otherwise it is fairly reliable and mainly: simple to use.

Stylish appearance and I like the foil cutter holder so it is always at hand. Removes corks with ease compared to the off brand one we replaced with this. Expect this one to last longer as a known brand name verses previous off-brand unit.

Charged up just fine. The up button worked. I pushed the down button to drive it into the cork and...nada. Not a sound. Useless. Though I bought it in 2022, it was still new in the box -- I had never used it because at the same time I had also bought another brand, which has been getting used once a week for more than 3 years and still works. Decided to try the Oster that was just sitting in a cabinet in its box for all this time, and pffftt! Nada, nothing.Wrote to Oster about it, told them it was out of warranty but could they do something anyway? Got my hopes up when they asked for photos of all the numbers on it and the invoice, and again...pfftt! They said they can't fix or replace it because it's out of warranty! Which I had already told them! Even though it was essentially brand-new and unused.Oster has just lost another customer forever. Not that they care -- I'm just one guy despite being a loyal Oster customer for decades. For every customer lost they probably gain 10 or 100 more just because of population increase. Buh-bye Oster!

I purchased this wine bottle opener to replace one of a different brand that no longer worked. I like this one. It does an excellent job of pulling the cork and dislodges the cork easily. I recommend this opener for both price and performance.
Cheap looking, very large and comes with an American plug
I ordered a way cheaper wine opener that works just as well, was stainless steel and had a USB charger. The Oster is very large, plastic and was sold with an American plug for which I will now have to buy a plug converter.
Foil cutter missing
While product is satisfactory. Foil cutter was missing despite indications on box

Ya tiene como dos años que lo compré y funciona a la perfección. Todas las visitas que lo ven se admiran de lo bien que funciona y lo fácil que es de usar. El único punto desfavorable es que hay que cargarlo regularmente porque no le dura tanto la batería (más si se uss seguido). Pd: a veces cuesta quitarle el corcho, pero el truco es porque ya está en qué ya no tiene suficiente carga.
