My 6 year old daughter was complaining of a sore butt and vulva for months. Not itchy, sore. It always happened right before bed time. I brought it the attention of an ER doctor and was told she just needs to practice better hygiene. After some googling, I started to wonder if it could be pinworms. I figured it wouldn't be harmful to try to treat them and see what happens. I ordered this family size version, because I have 2 adults and 6 kids in my household. One being too young to take the medication, so I only needed to treat 2 adults and 5 children. I got two because people said you should follow up the dose in a couple months.Almost all the kids took the medication and didn't complain, except one. My 4 year old son refused to take it. It was a battle of epic proportions. Finally, he took it. Then I had to convince the husband. Oh boy! After everyone was dosed, we sat back and waited. My daughter complained that night that she was still hurting. I had to calm her down to let her know it takes a few days to work.The next night after the dose, my daughter freaked out. She was in a lot of pain. We cuddled her and made her feel better. That night, I went to bed, and also woke up to severe butt pain. I HAD THEM TOO! I was grossed out. We were the only two that complained of pain. Maybe I had a milder case of than my daughters since I had no symptoms, and maybe everyone else had only a small infestation or none at all since they had no reaction to the medication.Night 3. No complains. No itchiness, no pain.Months later, I now write you this post. We never used the second dose. We have had no more complaints of pain in the butt or vulva. She doesn't have her hands down her pants at night anymore. I would say this is a success.

I was influenced by the internet influencers. I was convinced we all have worms and need to deworm the whole family.I’m sure this works great. I suspect we do not have worms. It’s made my tummy rumble a bit but nothing more.It’s banana flavored. That was interesting. Not delightful but not bad. If you like artificial banana flavored you will love this.Comes in a two pack. I drank one of them per the recommended dose. If anything it was a nice laxative. It wasn’t watery or too thick. I was pleasantly surprised.If anything it was a nice probiotic. Not a bad choice if you do have a pinworm problem.

So here’s the deal: my daughter and her husband came back from Belize… with PINWORMS. Yep. Not a fun souvenir. I was horrified (and lowkey smug because I was fine, thank you very much).After the initial freak-out, we grabbed Reese’s Pinworm Medicine — a lifesaver. It worked fast, was easy to use, and didn’t taste awful (my daughter didn’t even gag, which says a lot). We followed the instructions, dosed everyone in the house just to be safe, and washed everything like we were under CDC quarantine.Within a couple of days, the itching was gone, no more midnight “mommm I feel something!!”, and we could all breathe again. If you’re dealing with pinworms — don’t waste time. This stuff works.Also? No shame. Travel bugs happen. But still… so grateful it wasn’t me.

It worked! The itching is gone, so I know those free-loading worms are gone. I didn’t much care for the taste, but I’ve had worse tasting remedies.I didn’t give 5 stars, because part of the liquid had turned thick and gelatinous, and had to be jolted out of the little bottle. It was like a glob of school glue that had partly dried as if someone left the cap off for a while. I wasn’t sure the dose hadn’t lost it’s effectiveness. But in the end (pun happily used) it has apparently worked.The cost was worth it to end my pin worm suffering. It took nearly a year to figure out the cause.All eight people in my house had to take it, because pin worms are so contagious. I’ll have to fork over lots more money to do the second round and possibly a third round to make sure a re-infestation doesn’t happen for any of us.For myself, alone, this is the beginning of a total parasite cleanse. I’m continuing on with an herbal that targets any and all parasites. This will be a 90 day incursion. I want all the freeloaders dead and gone. Thank you Reese’s for the first air-strike.BUT: The bottle says it contains 1 ounce. I know one ounce is two Tablespoons. Two tablespoons is 6 teaspoons. The largest dose is 4 teaspoons. This should mean there are 2 teaspoons left in the bottle after my husband takes his. Nope! There are only 4 teaspoons in each bottle. This is only 2/3 of what the packages says it contains. So if you are trying to figure how many bottles you need, you have to factor with only 4 teaspoons per bottle. That ultimately means it will cost you more than you plan , or you will come up short for your family.
