They do a very good job for hydration and preventing cramping later in training/races. I used one every 45min-1 hour and it did a good job of maintaining energy levels and preventing muscle fatigue. Had no issues with upset stomach, but did need a little water to help wash it down.

Great product to use during work or exercise. We live in Florida and the heat is almost unbearable at times and we need extra support especially since we are 60+.

The Salt Stick pills are large but easily split or ground for easier consumption. I am a cancer patient patient who is dependent upon a G-tube for my nutritional and hydration needs and initially, due to chemoradiation and other medication effecs. I had trouble maintaining proper electrolyte balance particularly Na+ and K+. I've tried other liquid electrolyte supplements added to my daily feeding mixtures with mixed results. I began taking 3 Salt Stick tablets/day which I grind and add to my morning, early afternoon, and evening tube feedings. I have bi-weekly complete metabolic panels prior to receiving chemo.Prior to using this supplement, my electrolyte balance/anion gap were often abnormal with low Na+, K+, Mg+. Use of this supplement and proper hydration restored them to normal.I rated the product 4 stars because the large size of the tablets make them difficult to swallow for children, women and the elderly.

My lab report is always too low in sodium, the doctor tells me to eat salty foods and drink less water. I cannot stand the taste of salt in my food, and I need to drink lots of water as I have lost my salivary glands due to cancer. Since I have been using SaltStick Electrolyte Capsules, my sodium level has been perfect. I do not exercise, and therefore do not lose sodium through perspiration.

Habe mir die Kapseln für die Vorbereitung und Durchführung vom Marathon geholt. Zusammensetzung ist sehr gut und hat mir im Training sowie beim Marathon sehr geholfen.
Salz-Sticks
Der direkte Vergleich ist schwierig - die gleiche Tour mit und ohne Sticks - haben jetzt der / die Sticks den entscheidenden Vorteil gebracht? Grundsätzlich ist zu sagen: mehrere lange und anspruchsvolle Touren mit den Sticks und einem guten Gefühl - keine Krämpfe oder sonstige Ermüdungserscheinungen.Die Sticks können (Dosierungsempfehlung liegt bei) 'so wie sie sind' eingenommen werden. Klappt problemlos auch während der Fahrt mit ein wenig Flüssigkeit. Alternativ die Kapsel öffnen und den Inhalt in die Trinkflasche kippen. Auf 750ml eine Kapsel - schmeckt minimal 'salzig' und absolut nicht unangenehm. Bei kleineren Flaschen den Inhalt dosieren, Kostprobe schafft Gewissheit.Eine Überdosierung ist nicht möglich, da der Geschmack die Grenze setzt. Auch bei Einnahme als Kapsel ist das Thema m. E. unkritisch. Was der Körper nicht braucht geht 'durch' und landet im Trikot.Bei mir gab es keine Reaktion auf die Einnahme vom 'Verdauungsbereich'. Hier war alles wie vorher - ohne die Sticks.Kauf- und Nutzungsempfehlung von mir! Rechnet man den Preis auf die Kapsel runter und setzt das ins Verhältnis zu sonstiger 'Sportnahrung' ist das alles ok.
