Great pool addition
The media could not be loaded. If you are reading this review you know that pool slides are way over priced. We waited a year and a half hoping to get a sale price a slide but for whatever reason these don’t go on sale. If you can get a good warehouse deal that might be a good way to go.I assembled and installed the slide myself. It came in a huge box and was a pain to assemble. The hardest part to assemble for me was getting the two sections of the ladder to bolt together. The holes didn’t seem to line up quite right but it finally went together with lots of patience. I recommend watching the SR smith assembly video.Once assembled the hardest part of my install began. I have a travertine pool deck - not cement / cool deck. The travertine is not laid on cement so I had to pull up two sections of travertine , dig big holes, plumb in the water to the slide and add about 20 bags of cement. It’s all doable but took some time. I am attaching a few pictures so you can get an idea if you need to do something similar.On a paver / travertine install you will also need longer stainless steel wedge anchors. I couldn’t find the stainless steel ones locally so I ordered them off Bolo. I bought a package of 8 inch 304 stainless steel wedge anchors since the provided 5.5 inch bolts were not long enough to go through the slide footing, the travertine and into the cement. (I let the cement cure for a week before installing.) If you have pavers/travertine for your pool deck you will need longer anchors.It was a lot of effort to install the plumbing prep the foundation etc but it’s already been worth it. Doing it myself saved me lots of money doing and I know it was done correctly. Our kids are loving it. The neighborhood kids line up at the slide over and over again. The water flow is nice and the slide is fast. We plumbed it to a 3/4 inch deck jet and put in another ball valve so we can have both the slide and deck jet or just one on at a time. Our slide is used significantly more than our diving board.The kids are still using it in November ( we live in Arizona but the pool is cold) because they love it.
Great Slide
I wanted a slide that the entire family (young and old alike) could use and enjoy, and the Typhoon was definitely the right choice. Upon delivery the slide was securely packed and delivered in perfect condition. It took me and my husband about 4 hours to put together. I think if he would have had a strong man helping him instead of a weak woman with a bad back he could have put it together in half that time. The instruction was very easy to follow and once together the slide worked perfectly. The slide is solid and of excellent quality. It is heavy duty and can handle weights up to 275 lbs. We had a family get together for Mothers Day and the slide was a HUGE hit. People from ages 12 to 55 used the slide and each one would laugh and scream as they slide down. Everyone commented on how much fun it was and I knew after weeks of searching the internet for the perfect water slide, I had found it. The Typhoon may seem a bit pricey compared to other slides but I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. So If you are thinking of investing in a water slide you will not go wrong with this one. As a bonus S.R. Smith will send you a Serious Fun pack for your pool just for submitting a review......can't beat that.

Great slide, worth the cost
We love this slide, the kids can not get enough of it as well as myself. It is very sturdy, once attached to the pool deck it will not move. It really does take 2 people to assemble, it can be easily assembled in about an hour longer if you reread the instructions twice like i did, you don't want to make an expensive mistake. I like how the steps and handrails are designed The water flow from my pump is crazy good. It states it can hold up to 275 lbs, i weigh about 225 and it does move a little.Overall this is a great slide, I had a little hesitation pulling the trigger on the cost, but overall the cost of slide turns out to be less than 5% of the total cost of only the pool, but added a 100% more fun.

I’m giving this 4 stars because we are overall happy with this slide. I would give it fewer stars because all of the hardware and plumbing hoses/connections were not in the box that was delivered. That might have been because the seller was not the manufacturer, not sure though. The seller was responsive and filed a warranty claim with the manufacturer but I ultimately had to follow up with the manufacturer to ensure the missing parts were shipped. It was fairly easy to put together but definitely requires two people. The connecting slide plastic was a bit warped and creates a bit of a bump half way down, but again I’m wondering if that’s due to the seller shipping a defective product. I’m not sure if that was the case but I’m left wondering. Overall I think it’s a good product and my daughter is happy with it.
Great Product for the whole family
This slide is great for the whole family. We had the smaller slide from S.R. Smith and wanted one that everyone could use so upgraded to the bigger one. This is very sturdy and is fun for small and big members of the family. Up to 275 lbs. compatible. Internal hose that can be hooked up to your pool pump if you have the right connections which makes it great. Fairly easy to put together for two people and secures to your decking but the right tools are required for the drilling. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a slide.
Best price you will find
The media could not be loaded. Good quality. Steps and seat area do get hot in our Vegas sun, however, we let water run for a bit and wet the step area to avoid burning our feet. Hubby had to get more outdoor/UV resistant sealer from HD for sides. Pool builder just had to place water stub where we wanted located but husband and son put together in about an hoir. No issues as of now, 3 months after install.

This is a great slide. Delivered in only two days! Easy to put together, my husband and I had it together in 2 hours, an additional hour to tie plumbing into our pool.Slide is the perfect height. The kids have been on it all weekend!Pro tip: when trying to put plastic pieces together, a ratchet strap comes in handy to put just enough tension to make those hard to line up holes match up! I would have never thought of that but my husband is in construction
