I see a lot on here about the stinger seizing up. I too had that problem with the first one I bought. Just put a little copper based anti seize on the threads and Ive been using mine for years. Occasionally have to put some more ani seize on the threads. This hands down is the best stinger I’ve ever used. I’ve been using this same style stinger for 18 yrs. I’ve bought 4 all together. The one that seized up. The three that followed I simply just wore out. That’s about 6 yrs a stinger I think that is an outstanding track record.

Worst stinger ever. Great concept. Bought it because I have to lay my stinger down a lot and where I am working the entire structure is grounded. “Stinger V” is my preferred stinger but the handle wears through and it arcs off of everything.So, bought two of these for the fact that they are arc strike free. Welded 6010’s 3/32,1/8,5/32 and 3/16 with it for a week and a half. Switched up and ran 7018 1/8, 5/32 on a structural job. We started on a Tuesday and I had to replace it on Thursday. It would not unscrew or screw down. Replaced with spare in truck. Ran that one Friday, Saturday and was careful to just tighten it enough to hold the rod. I could scratch the rod and it would loosen, so not over torqued. Started welding on Sunday and at noon it did the same exact thing.If you’re considering this stinger, take your cash outside and set fire to it. I’ve been doing this for a lot of years and have never had a stinger last only 3 days. Like I said, good concept, poorly executed.

Love these stinger but they don't hold up very well used to use esab but there very heavy was using product from place called my king but think there OB have not purchased more
