My attempt to replace an old sprayer with the same make was unsuccessful. I tried a few others before finding this Smith sprayer. I have used this sprayer about 10 times and really like it. I have used it with thin and thicker solutions (weed killer and the thicker rabbit repellent). The sprayer works great! Both the hose and the wand are sufficiently long enough that the tank can sit on the ground and the plants can be easily reached. It comes with some sort of shoulder strap but I haven’t used that. It comes with different attachments for different spray patterns but I have only used the adjustable one which is sufficient for my use. Seems to be very well made. Looks to be easy to disassemble if needed for occasional cleaning. Instructions were very clear. Also made in USA.

Much Better Than Big Box Options I've used pump sprayers for years (I'm 66). I use them primarily for week killer, although I've also used them for deck wash solution as well and I've also used them to apply Wet and Forget mold and mildew killer. I don't just use them for weed killer around my house. I'm responsible for keeping the weeds down around the fence line surrounding our 1-acre community garden. In the past I've used big box sprayers which I've replaced the spray wands on with higher quality wands/nozzles. That is the bare minimum if you want a quality sprayer.This time I bought a quality pump sprayer. What a difference! The pump sprayer holds its pressure, the hose to the wand is larger diameter and higher quality. The wand itself is of better quality and the nozzle functions very well for a controlled spray pattern. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I should have bought this long ago.

I got tired of buying the cheap Chinese made spray tanks with nothing but endless problems. I splurged and bought the more expensive American made Smith contractor tank and what an improvement in quality, performance, and ease of use. Good tools make the work easier and the time saved plus the sprayer works so much better justifies the higher price. I'm very pleased with this tank. I'm 85 years old and I've owned a lot of spray tanks. This is by far the best one I have owned.

I am a lawn care pro of 26 years. When Lesco stopped selling parts for my 20 year old hand sprayers, I had to find something else. After using the DB Smith sprayers for the past 4 or 5 years, I have found them to be a very good commercial sprayer. I fill a sprayer 1 to 6 times a day. They get heavy use daily. You have to maintain them!A few drops of oil on the pump shaft to lubricate the pressure cylinder.Clean handle filter after heavy useClean the inside of the pressure cylinder depending on use to prevent debris scarring sides and trashing the gasketClean the tips after use.Release pressure from the sprayer when not in use.DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE TOP. Once you tighten to contact..a 1/4 turn more will seal it and not crush the seal gasket.2 main issues I see people asking.The sprayer will not hold pressure- If you buy a brand new sprayer and it will not hold pressure..there may be a small insert under the pressure release valve that is missing. I had it happen to me.99% of sprayer not holding pressure are having to do about taking care of it.The other question is what are these rated to spray. It is right in the product info. If you use different chemicals in the sprayer you need to clean the sprayer before you use the next and MAINTAIN the sprayer.

Works wonderful. Strong spray, much better than what you can buy at the hardware store. I used it 4x a year for 2 years now to spray for ants around my home.Clean it out properly and it will last for many treatments.

After many years of buying and replacing cheap sprayers, this is a one is a real pleasure. A very copious, wide spray that really does the job, an excellent handle, and replaceable nozzles! What a relief!

The continuous spray that this sprayer puts out out beats any other spray bottle where you have to continuously pump to continue the water/chemical spray. It holds a lot of water/chemical, more than needed for most jobs. My husband used it to remove the “popcorn” on the ceilings in several rooms in our home when we first bought it several years before we purchased it. I’m writing this about 6 years after purchase and they are still working as I use one for watering my Spanish Moss. It’s so easy to use as you fill the tank with your desired product, screw on the lid tightly and pump the handle to increase the pressure inside the tank, point the sprayer where you want and squeeze the handle and your product will continuously spray. The pressure depends on how many pumps you give the tank, so you can adjust the pressure to your desire. The entire tank is light yet sturdy and at a great price!

Heavy duty construction with a great nozzle
This sprayer comes with a number of sprat nozzles but I just used the brass one. Easy to adjust the volume/ strength of the spray. Keeps pressure for a long time. The shoulder strap makes it so much easier to carry.
Great for its price!
I’ve been using mine for just about 3 months now and I’ve yet to encounter an actual issue. Worst thing I though was when it first arrived the plastic seams inside had plastic flakes coming off but easy fix!
Smith Contractor sprayer
The Smith Contractor sprayer has surpassed my expectations. It is a pity that they don't have a distributor here in Australia. The quality is worth the price.
