This extract has a wonderful fresh strawberry flavor. However, it is very potent. You need to use an eye dropper to measure, unlike some other less strong flavorings. If you get a flavor that is too bitter or too much like alcohol, etc, you used too much. I use this to flavor iced tea. For one gallon of fairly strong tea, I use only 1.3 ml of flavoring, which is about 1/4 teaspoon. DO NOT use the normal measures in a recipe to substitute this flavoring - it will be too strong.If you do not believe me about the strength, let me ask you - have you ever tasted vanilla extract straight out of the bottle? Even if you love vanilla in cookies, cakes or tea, etc, you will likely think it tastes horrid and bitter straight out of the bottle! So if you think yours tastes bad, try using less.Note - different Olive Nation extracts are different strengths, so experiment with a little until you know how much you need for a particular recipe. For one gallon of tea, I can use one teaspoon of mango extract, 1/4 tsp of strawberry, 1/16 tsp of watermelon, and less than 1/16 tsp of apricot (I just got eye droppers and need to experiment with the last one - it is really strong!). The extract is really good but does have an alcohol after taste if you use too much. I wanted to use it to make hot tea, but it would be better for cooking. The cooking process will burn off the alcohol after taste.

I have and still buy from other vendors. However, Olive Nation has fine quality extract concentrates. I have not found their extracts to be of poor quality. Even thought they may be somewhat more expensive. I feel Olive Nation is worth buying. Of course I rate 5 stars.

When I first opened the bottle it smelled like mild hand sanitizer, zero other scent. I hoped the blackberry flavor would be brought alive in the baking process, it was not. I went as far as to mix in a full tablespoon to only 9oz of batter - still zero impact. I’m pretty sure I was sold watered down alcohol.

Great flavour
Great flavour but VERY potent so don't use too much. amazing value for the price, the bottle will last me quite a long time, for a fraction of the cost.
Not worth the money
This is a very pure quality product no taste of raspberries at all. I would not recommend purchasing it I purchase it to use for a raspberry vinaigrette didn't even taste like it texture is terrible. Don't by it.
Not a bad flavour but needs to shaken a bit
Not the best nor the worst it just needs a bit improvement..when I first tasted it it tasted kind of off ..in my drink it was not bad but had to use more to get the taste a bit..next time I shook it up a little and then in the drink it tasted better…yes also the alcohol is kind a strong in it for one has to use more to get a good taste…Pete O….
Very Weak
Today I used the Maple Extract for the first time as I wanted to use up the product I always used to use but couldn't find it. My recipe calls for 1/4 teaspoon. I had to use over 1/2 teaspoon and it still wanted enough. I'm going to try to hunt for the brand of peppermint extract I used before or try another brand because this one doesn't cut it.
