UPDATE March 2021: I received the razor 10½ years ago through the Bolo Vine Review Program, and have replaced many of the heads and blades over the years. Not only does the ORIGINAL razor still work (even the battery is still working amazingly well after more than a decade!!!), but these blades/head work wonderfully. Every year or so when I replace them, I haven't realized just how much harder it is to get a good close shave after a year or so of wear - until I pop the replacement foil head and blades in and start shaving. MARVELOUS!If this razor ever does die, and they still make the same model, it's a automatic purchase for me. I've been shaving for over 60 years, usually with an electric razor, and this is by far the best razor I've ever used (and I've had a lot over all that time. I'm truly amazed, to be quite honest. NOTHING lasts 10+ years anymore, yet this razor and even its batter are still doing just fine. And the foil/blades last somewhat over a year (I think they recommend replacement about every 18 months, but I don't remember for sure - I've got a very heavy and thick beard, so I'm not at all unhappy with these lasting over a year each.)Panasonic has hit a grand slam with this razor and the replacement blades. And no, I own no Panasonic stock, and no one I know works for them as far as I know. This was a free product over a decade ago thanks to the Bolo Vine program, and I'm just an exceptionally grateful recipient because of both the job it's done as well as the service it's provided, including these normal replacement parts. And I've even used it in the shower many times - great (as advertised)!----Following is my original review----When this started out as a $300 shaver, I simply could not recommend it at that price (I didn't have to pay for it, but would not have if I'd been purchasing it). It's since come down in price, and at current prices, I'd replace mine in a moment with another of the same model. So when I got these replacement parts, I was immediately reminded what I liked so much about the razor itself - this replacement blade/foil combination made it a "new" razor all over again.This is the 3rd set of blades and foil I've gotten for this razor. With a heavy beard, I think a full year or more per set is quite adequate, before replacement becomes necessary. In nearly 50 years of shaving, I've never had as close or comfortable a shave as I've had with this shaver, including after replacing previous blade/foil combinations. As long as they make this razor and the blades/foil to go with it, I will have no need to even try out another razor - it's that good.

The replacement blades and foil are easy to replace and are worth the cost. My shaver is like new! I wish I would’ve replaced the blades and foil sooner. It takes less time to shave by not having to keep going over the same areas again and again! Also, I notice my shaver is quieter.

I had replaced the foil of my Panasonic shaver some while ago, with good results, but was not getting a close shave again, so I replaced foil and blades. Bingo! I'd guess the foil needs replacing at least annually, the blades at least every 2 years. That's probably true for any electric shaver.

Seems to work & fit ok, but the packaging was designed by Satan's spawn - very difficult to open, even with scissors...Be careful not to cut yourself!

By saving me one minute per shave, it saves me (shudder) 6 hours per year. It's supposed to last for 2 years, but I expect it saves the minute only for 1 year. So if your time is worth at least $10 per hour (after taxes) the replacement foil & cutter pays for itself in time saved. However, there are entire shavers that cost half as much and are rated here higher than 4 stars. I admit I could not resist ordering a highly rated shaver for under $15 (and it has a rechargeable Li battery) so I wouldn't have to lug this bulky heavy Panasonic shaver on trips. And it is bulky and heavy.Added Later: The $14.28 Aposen shaver is better than this Panasonic shaver with new blades and cutter, and the entire unit costs about 1/4 as much as just the blades and cutter for the Panasonic. What??!! The Aposen lasts 120 minutes on a charge vs 45 for the Panasonic, is quieter, cuts closer, is slightly faster to use, is smaller and lighter, and uses an ordinary cellphone charger and common cable.

This Panasonic shaver and this foil and blade kit are the best electric shaver I’ve ever had. These blades cut through three day growth with no problem at all. I wash mine after each shave and they hold their edge longer than I expected. I’ll be ordering another set soon!
