I love that the squares are not too small on the paper. The paper is a good thickness, and doesn’t tear easily. The pages are very smooth, and have very little texture which I can’t stand when writing on paper. The paper is bright white and shows off colors well and accurately. So great functionality overall.

Exactly what I was looking for. None of the cheap, flimsy backing like other brands. Stiff backing with great support. Good quality paper. Lines are nicely visible.

When I was looking for grid paper that would give me plenty of space for handwritten notes, that would be 4 squares per inch (instead of 5), I was glad to find this one and try it out.Quick thoughts:• This paper feels just about the same as a high quality printer paper does. You know how sometimes you want to just go to the printer and take *that* paper to use, instead of writing/drawing on some normal notebook paper? Well this grid paper feels nice like that, too.Pros:• Great quality weight/thickness of paper. Writing with a mechanical pencil feels good. In the times that I almost stuck the tapered end of the pencil lead through on accident, the paper was still in good shape and was not punctured! Pages stay smooth when using an eraser.• Excellent precut tear lines. You can just get a tear started at the top corner of a page, and then the page will effortlessly tear out out just like one of those fancy hotel writing pads. It's very slick!• Opaque pages. I've been writing & drawing on these under a bright white desk lamp, which overhangs the surface I'm writing on by about 2 feet; in spite of my bright lighting and dark (2B) pencil markings, I don't notice any writing/drawing that's underneath the top page that I'm looking at. The amount you can see thru to the next page is very faint, very minimal - nonexistent if using HB ("number-2 pencil") or even B pencil.• The back cover is very sturdy & rigid. Good to carry around without a clipboard, if still in good condition.Cons:• The one nitpick of mine. The grid lines are too dark & thick compared to what I want. My use-case of it is unusual though; I'm working thru a language book and practicing handwriting - and so I found that 5mm squares in gridded paper were too small, whereas 6.125mm squares like this are the "just-right" size, however 4-per-inch ruled grid paper is just slightly more rare. So yeah I'm having difficulty finding an alternative that's better.• Cost per page that you get is -maybe- high compared to other products. Conclusion:• These grid paper pages are GREAT for people are a beginner at using graph paper; or, people who need to keep their work & refer back to it later! Feels good, doesn't feel cheap.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, damaged in shipping

    G.G. · February 1, 2025

The quality of the paper is really good. However it is not packed properly for shipping. I received my first pad all banged up. It was put in a shipper with another item, with no padding or protection. I received a replacement that was shipped alone, and was slightly damaged, I kept it. Please pack with some protection!

Exactly what I wanted in terms of weight and grid lines. But very expensive

AmpadMead CambridgeMr. PenBolo BasicsAll share the following features:- Ruled on both sides- Tear-off from top- Cardboard backingAMPAD: This is by far the poorest quality pad of the bunch. Folded/wrinkled sheets, misprinted lines, misaligned grid (front-back on a single sheet as well as from sheet-to-sheet in the pad). That problem is compounded by the paper’s weight/thickness, which allows more transparency. That might be a good thing if you’re tracing, but even the lines from the back side of the sheet show through, thus obscuring the front-side's lines, and making tracing more difficult. The only good thing is how stiff the backing is (tie with Mead/Cambridge).MEAD CAMBRIDGE: This was my runner-up pad. More sheets than Mr. Pad, gray lines make illustrations standout more than the brighter blue lines of Mr. Pad. Good number of sheets per pad, and very stiff back. It also features a fold-over cardboard cover, which none of the other pads have, which could be good for preventing smudges of drawings or confidentiality. Beneficially, that fold-over cover can be removed (it has perforations to tear it off).MR. PAD: The clarity of the lines is good (strong). For my purposes, that's fine, though others may want their drawing to stand out more from the lines, in which case a gray or more subtle rule might be preferable. The backing isn’t as thick or robust as the others, but if you’re using the pad in a portfolio (like me), then this may not be a big deal. I also like how the sheets were cut so that the edges of the pad line up with the end of a square. No other pads have that attention to detail, and it just makes this pad look nicer than the others which all have partial squares at their edges.Bolo BASICS: I have no idea where they came up with the size of the squares. Six per fifteen-sixteenths of an inch (or five per 2 centimeter, but not exactly). Maybe I’m missing something here. The thickness of the back cardboard is nearly the same as Ampad and Cambridge, but it’s not as rigid/stiff.For my use, I decided the Mr. Pad was the best way to go. I’ll be using the pad professionally, and want the tools of my trade to reflect how I practice: With precision. I don't need lots of sheets in a pad, since I less frequently hand-write notes and illustrations compared to dictation or typed.

Very satisfied with this brand/quality of paper

No me gustó el tipo de papel

    O.O. · September 8, 2021
