If I'm making a curry I usually use my own cumin, turmeric, etc but if I'm throwing together a chicken salad or making some deviled eggs and I want a curry flavor this is my go to item in the spice cabinet. The flavor is rich and well rounded and mild. Sometimes I'll add a a bit of hot pepper but not always. If you want to just open 1 jar and have a great flavor this organic curry powder is perfect.After reading about ground spices filled with ground up bugs I decided to go organic and I love this SIMPLY ORGANIC curry powder as much as I love their ground ginger and other spices. Try it and use it with a can of Cream of Chicken soup or Vichyssoise, chicken salad, chick pea salad, potato salad, or mixed with yogurt and or sour cream for a great dip for veggies. It is so versatile, so cheap and delivered right to your door giving you more time to cook and relax.

When I earlier tried to replenish this curry powder the price was off the wall -- or perhaps I simply misread something. Looking again recently I saw that the price returned to sanity and I ordered two. This is a lovely, pungent and somewhat hot curry powder I use mostly for a curried chicken salad.

This is very flavorful curry powder with an excellent blend of spices for flavor, but a bit too peppery for our taste. It is the mildest I could find now, though, since Frontier herbs no longer offers the truly mild curry that I used to buy in bulk one pound packages. I need to remember to use less of this Simply Organic brand than I was using of the Frontier brand, and to add some extra turmeric. Last week my son came to visit and I made roast lamb, curried cauliflower with a few peas for extra color and baked sweet potatoes. My son ate ALL of the cauliflower that was still in the serving bowl at the end of the meal. it was a lot!I wish I could give this curry powder 5 stars, but that "too peppery" took away one star. If you like pepper/spice heat, you will might think this curry powder is mild. It's all a matter of individual preference and "hot" tolerance.

Love this curry spice! It is not strong on cloves which I dislike. Also not a strong cumin flavor. I like cumin, but it can be overpowering in some dishes. Just an all around good basic curry flavor with no spice overpowering any of the other spices in the mix. Great on hashbrown potatoes along with some smoked paprika & Frontier Spice Vindaloo Curry (a little spicer) which is another favorite curry of mine. The Frontier Spice Balti Curry is also good, but it is strong on cumin flavor.

It is cheaper as an add-on with prime than at the store (usually have to go to a specific store too).I like this curry because it's a bit sweet; which I didn't understand that's what I wanted when I first started using curry. Curry dishes, I've discovered, make my guts feel great. I have celiac, and curry has so many ingredients that are truly medicine for reducing inflammation, helping digestion, lowering blood pressure, etc. etc. Plus it tastes wonderful. This is the best tasting, most aromatic curry powder I've ever used, a sublime blending of ingredients in just the right proportions. I just used the last of my jar (the curry's on the stove as I write), which prompted me to come here to order more and say how much I appreciate Simply Organic spices -- they're the only kind I buy any more. This one, and the garam masala, are particularly exquisite.

An excellent addition to my kitchen spices and flavors. As a northeastern Asian descendent, utilizing spices like curry/turmeric aren't normal. However, this curry powder completely changed my kitchen environment. I can cook chicken and pork much easier by reducing their distinct smell and taste that my wife and kids are very sensitive to. Although they had to get used to this spice, but adding lemon juice sometimes reduced the flavor a little bit if they felt it to be too strong. All in all, this product is excellent in quality and potency, and I'd recommend to anyone who likes to try something new and cooking healthy meals.

Easy and Delicious Curries
Absolutely delicious!! I have never been able to cook a decent curry before. I used this to make a chicken curry with veg and it turned out really good for a first try. Just ordered 2 more. It works out expensive but worth it and I'm following a weight loss plan and need to make low fat curries.

Amazingly flavourful
I have been looking for a good curry powder for awhile. Our local Indian grocer changed the brand of curry powder they get in, and I wasn’t impressed the new flavour it gave to my curries.I do not like supermarket curry powders. This one hands down I will be ordering from now on. I had it in my cart for quite awhile before finally deciding to give it a go. I am so glad I did.
