60 years old and never dealt with any type of mental health condition my entire life. About a year ago, something was feeling a bit different. Felt overly sad, had zero interest in anything and along with it anxiety. Could not deal with crowds at all. Feeling lost and disconnected. Crying a lot. This was not me and I knew it. I was always the one with a boatload of confidence and very comfortable in my own skin. Friends wanted me to talk to a professional. I never did, fearing prescription meds. Didn't want that dead in the eyes look that antidepressants can at times bring on. Researched and decided to give these a try, and a major change is happening. A positive one! These worked instantly for me. Starting to feel like 'ME' again.

It is a little hard to tell what this is actually doing for me, but I do think it's having some effect. I bought this behalf on reading hundreds of reviews after searching for something that would maybe ease depression or anxiety that I was having after my miscarriage. I had also read reviews about it helping with binge eating, which was always a constant battle with me, no matter how healthy I was eating!So my experience:I trialed taking this at night for awhile after seeing a lot of people saying that it was making them sleepy; this was not the case for me. Perhaps it would be different with a non time release. I took it with breakfast for a few days and noticed myself being pretty tired by the end of the day, but a little too early for me since I generally workout after work. Taking it with lunch seems ideal. I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary with my dreams. They've always been odd.I have only sort of binged once since taking this. It's been almost a month, which is a huge deal for me, since I was a daily binger (especially around my period). I absolutely believe this is helping for that. I've always been doing a lot more "mindful eating" and trying to be more aware of what I'm doing while avoiding triggers. It will take multiple steps to solved issues in your life, but I do think this is a good assist.My mood is okay. I'm not depressed or having anxiety like I was. I generally feel decent. The things that get me worked up now are work related, which I believe would happen even if you pumped me with Xanax...lol.

For the past 8 years since I was 14, I have been on more than one medication for anxiety disorder and severe depression. Last month my doctor put me on a new medication since Prozac stopped working for me. It was a nightmare. I had awful side-effects like nose bleeds, bruising, vivid dreams, and I had many sad moments. 4 weeks into them and I wasn't seeing myself getting better. I got off them after I had a breakdown and I spoke with my doctor that I was going to go the natural route because I really am tired of medications.I started taking this 4 days ago and already I feel small changes. I still have mini episodes of sadness but I am able to bounce right back. And my sleep, oh my goodness it is wonderful! I am not lying awake at night past midnight anymore. My mom has commented as well, saying she noticed that I seem different.I know it can be to soon to tell if this stuff really helps/works but so far it is doing just fine AND with no side effects at all. Unfortunately it doesn't cover anxiety as much so am going to look for another natural supplement for that. But my main priority was to get my depression taken care of because I knew that if I submitted myself to a hospital for help and stabilization, they would have just pumped me with pharmaceuticals.*I'll be back later to let you all know how this stuff is working once it has had more time to get into my system. For now, this stuff is wonderful and has truly given me hope and lifted my spirits. I now have confidence that I can beat depression and not let it get the best of me.

This supplement has been a miracle for me! I've had trouble sleeping since I entered menopause, and I posted on Facebook to ask my friends for advice. One of my friends suggested 5-htp and I ordered this brand. I took it for a few nights and was delighted by the way it helped me fall asleep and stay that way. I started researching it and decided to take one in the morning as well as evening.After 10+ years of depression and anxiety (especially while driving) this supplement has helped me feel.....normal. Nothing sluggish or drugged or blank like Prozac and Xanax made me feel. This helps me feel positive and balanced and in control without Rx drugs. I'm amazed! My friend said it took her a week to feel the effects but I felt them the same day I started it. I feel good during the day and fall asleep without a sleep aid and stay that way. If I wake up during the night I am able to fall asleep again, which is such a blessing! And being able to function normally is amazing! It's like I'm 30 years old again!This supplement helps our bodies create seratonin, the feel-good chemical. I take it with a daily multi-vitamin with extra B-vitamins. These help the supplement work better.I can't stay enough about how wonderful this supplement has been for me!
