This company has the best air dry clay by far. It works soooo well. This stuff is super durable and lasts forever if stored properly. It’s not messy and it’s easy to work with. I love that it dries slowly and can bend some of my creations when it’s not fully dry. It stays soft, but keeps its shape and then fully hardens after a full 24 hours. It almost looks like plaster when dried, and is whitish in appearance. Definitely a fun thing to have for crafts and projects!

I have not had any issues with cracking when working with this clay although it is an air dry clay I think that it worked perfectly for the artwork that I was doing I would 10 out of 10 recommend.

I'm new to sculpting and I bought this to try my skills in the world of art. It's easy to work with however I learned very quickly that you can't work on a single project for more than a couple hours before the clay starts to dry out. It was quite challenging to work with once that started happening, but I was able to finish my sculpture before it completely dried

This clay is super soft, easy to work with, and picks up the details in silicone molds VERY well. It dries perfectly. I just wish it dried super hard so it didn't break, but it IS clay so it's not magic. Have purchased before and will purchase again.

The DAS Air Hardining Modeling Clay is easy to mold. The clay responds well to kneading and when small cracks form applying slip works very well. When making small solid figurines it is taking 2-3 days to air dry. Do not work under a fan (I am in Florida where we like fans) because that causes premature drying on the surface and cracking can occur. Using a slip made from clay remnants is a great way to attach pieces. Paining on this clay is great. Latex paint adheres and colors pop quite easily.

Not the best air-drying clay, but it sorta gets the job done (well, apart from all the unwanted cracking once it fully dries). I would definitely not say it’s sturdy whatsoever. My last clay project with this material failed. I was trying to make a miniature clay model of one of my dad’s favorite football players posing in a way that it looks like the player caught the ball midair. The wet clay molded well under my fingers at the beginning of this project, but this ease would not last very long.Unfortunately, the clay model could not stay standing without falling over within the hour, even after I placed supporting structures to hold the clay model up. Reminder; this is a miniature clay model, so it was no bigger than five inches in height which usually did not occur like that when making these clay miniatures. The model continued to fall over and every time a limb would completely break off.I would try coming back to this project maybe four months later, and the clay becomes like a stick, glue-like texture on the outside. On the inside where the clay has not dried yet, it becomes rubbery as this is the best way to describe it. I would not recommend this low quality clay if you want a decent clay model/sculpture.It’s easy to knead and work in your palm to a preferred form for about the first 15-30 minutes of starting your project, but I would say it’s relatively useless after that. I’m sure this pound of clay would be great for an artsy child with a short attention span, but to reiterate: I do not recommend the air-drying clay. Try polymer or using a kiln with a separate type of clay if you are wanting to create something worthwhile.

Excellent Clay for Detailed Modeling
This clay is fantastic for intricate modeling projects. It stayed soft and malleable for a year, thanks to proper storage in a ziplock bag. I successfully crafted a plant pot, complete with intricate details, using this clay. It responded well to weathering techniques and a lacquer spray, resulting in a beautiful finish. Slight drying made it easier to work with. I highly recommend this clay for amateur modelers.

DAS is one of the best air dry clay brands on the market if you listen to the general opinion on the internet and to be honest it truly is wonderfully fantastic. The overall solidity is great once its hard it doesnt crack and stays flat as well. Edges dont curl up once its dry and even if there is some shrinking when it dries which is entirely normal, i dont really see too many issues other than it retaining alot of detail and it being very tricky to get out some deep details & whatnot out of the clay unless you are using alot of "slip" (the glue-type concoction we all make to keep our work well stuck together) or tond of water. So if you dont like to use alot of water this may be a bit of an issue for you. Otherwise there really isnt much else i can say about DAS. They truly make a great quality product that i highly recommend!
