I love Spam! But my doctor advised me to cut back on the salt as I have high blood pressure and have had it most of my adult life. I am mid 70's now and it had gotten really bad. So I had to cut out so many good things. That is why I was so excited to find Spam lite! No, I do not eat it all the time, but now I can have some again and not worry so much about the salt content. Thank you so much SPAM.

I was raised on Spam and still find it my go-to for a quick breakfast, sandwich or cracker snack. With the "Lite" version, it is almost guilt free. The delivery was prompt, the expiration dates are three years away; what's not to like. Get a couple more cases and I'm prepared for a nuclear winter.

スパムは使いやすくて好きです。缶詰クッキングの調理実習で使いましたが皆の評価も良かったです。
食感が別物
脂っこさはだいぶ減った印象ですが、その分旨味も減っています。食感もオリジナルに比べ、硬いような印象です。硬いといっても噛めないとかそういうレベルではなく、オリジナルに比べ多少歯ごたえを感じるとか、その程度ですが。私はスパムを、油を使わずフライパンで焼き醤油、みりん、出汁で味付けをするという方法で調理しています。こうすると独特の美味さを出す、ハズなのですがこのLiteで同じ調理方法を試してみたら、あれ？こんなはずでは････という味と食感になってしまいました。今回は健康に留意してLiteを選びましたがよく考えてみれば、この手の食品は食べるとしても、たまになので今後はオリジナルの方で味わいを優先したいと、考えを改めました。
