For those radiators with transmission oil coolers, the tanks are molded using heat-resistant, high-density polymer plastic for added protection against extreme engine temperatures. Each TYC radiator is leak-tested before leaving the factory to ensure consistent quality.

I purchased this radiator because my old one was leaking transmission fluid. I own a 2009 chevy cobalt LS. This item is very affordable when compared to its competitors. The radiator is very well packaged, preventing any damage during shipping. The radiator includes the transmission cooler line connections (bolts), retainer clips, and petcock. The bolts are ready for installation and are coated with a sealant, which is very convenient. It does not include the bolts that are used to attach the condenser to the radiator, so dont lose them!!The TyC radiator is exactly the same as the original. The dimensions, connections, and latches for both fan and condenser are the same. The only feature which is different is the petcock draining hole. The original radiator drains horizontally, once the petcock is removed. The TYC radiator has improved this feature by adding an additional draining hole/nozzle, which drains vertically. This feature allows the radiator to drain directly into a pan by loosening the petcock w/o removing it.Installation of the tyc radiator was very easy. Everything fit correctly without any difficulty. The condenser and fan fit exactly as the original.I highly recommend this item to any chevy cobalt owners !!I will update my review if anything changes.

Put it in an 06 cobalt. everything lined up. i took a star from it because the transmission line connectors didn't have the original style and were most definitely done this way to save some money. it shouldn't be an issue because the lines don't exactly move, but only time will tell if it eventually fatigues.

Works well, seems to have a metal baffle in one of the tanks that made it look different than original, but everything hooks up and works fine, 2006 Cobalt SS 2.4 manual tranny. Auto tranny cooler plugs were just left in, they are a different reservoir I believe, so just leave as is.
