This adapter saves you money when you connect the hose to a larger 20+ lbs propane bottle. Easy to use, quality product. Make sure you buy the propane filter adapter. The oil that comes off propane bottle will clog your Mr. Heater over time and contaminate your hose.

And no filter required. I have not had any issues with it working. I followed the detailed instructions included in the package---hook up both ends of hose, heater valve off, open propane tank valve slowly, then bleed air out of line using heater valve with hose attached to heater (of course!!!) It takes longer than you think, just keep trying until it lights, you will smell propane before that happens. Probably took 3-5 minutes. Be sure to turn off the propane tank valve first when shutting down to avoid leaving pressurized propane in the hose.The only negative is attaching the plastic grip onto the brass fitting at the propane tank--mine was very loose and had to be epoxied to stay on (you can use it without the ring but it is easier with it on.) 4 1/2 stars.

We had many power shortages this winter. Ice four inches thick. No electricity. Often all we had to warm ourselves was our Mr Buddy space heater, but we went through those little green canisters too quickly. I bought this ten foot hose that doesn't require any additional safety equipment to use. I can now hook up my Mr. Buddy to the outsider propane canisters I use for my deck grill.

Works great with a Mr Heater Buddy. Yes, there are cheaper hoses available but when you factor in the cost of filter/replacements, you may as well just use this one. No filter required means fewer connections and things that can leak. The plastic tightening thing is a pain because it always slips off, so I picked up a cheap 7/8” stubby wrench that I throw in the bag with it so I don’t have to use the plastic thing and it’s so much better!

This hose is made for Mr heater to prevent residue build up. It works well for my big buddy heater, how ever my son has a buddy heater single burner for 5 years regular hose and has no residue build up. For the cost would choose it again.
