My Subaru Forester seemed like it was losing some mpgs so I knew it was time to replace the engine air filter. I was right. The filter was very dirty. I was happy to see the Fram filter had more pleats than the 2018 Forester engine air filter. This should lead to performance gains. I noticed my mpgs go up immediately. It was easy to install and fit perfect. Definitely a great value as the OEM filter was twice as much money for a replacement. Sticking with the Fram filter moving forward.

This filter was easy to install and fit perfectly for my Subaru CrossTrex. I had no issues what so ever and if I can do it...anyone can do it. This schedule suits our car's demands perfectly, especially since my husband is keen on regular maintenance. True enough, by the six-month mark, the filter is ready for a swap, usually looking its duty by then.I stick to a three-month interval for oil changes and, while the filter still looks serviceable at that point, the combined renewal of both oil and air filter every half-year leaves our Outback feeling rejuvenated.Besides the noticeable boost in performance post-maintenance, the cost-effectiveness of these filters is a win. Doing it ourselves saves a good chunk of change compared to having it replaced during an oil change service. Plus, it's a straightforward task that doesn't take much time or effort.Overall, we're very happy with the FRAM filters.
