My hair tends to be quite oily, and finding a shampoo that can manage it has been a challenge. This shampoo has proven to be an excellent choice. It handles oil effectively and, as an added bonus, it has an amazing citrusy smell that leaves my hair feeling fresh and invigorated.

Desert Essence Organics makes some nice products. I like this shampoo a lot better than many other organic ones I have tried. For one thing, my scalp doesn't start itching right away and that's a major plus. I like to go for a few days between hair washings. This shampoo keeps my scalp nice and clean.There's not much of a scent, which is was I was after. Perfumey things drive me crazy.As I wrote in the headline: a litte goes a long way and this shampoo works great, even in cold water.My hair (naturally curly, long) likes it and I like it.

I tried this shampoo after struggling to find a shampoo that would get the oil out of my hair- and it worked fairly well. I think it would be good for people who have extra oil in their hair, but not extremely oily hair, like mine. This one kept my hair clean during the daytime (which is 12 hours or so), which is better than most shampoo, but didn't make it clean enough for me to not have to wash it to go out at night. (I tried this to try to get a better smelling shampoo than the one I currently use)I thought it smelled very good, it DOES smell like that lemony floor cleaner scent as you are washing your hair, but once it is rinsed out it leaves a nice, clean, non overpowering scent. (My 2 year old sniffed the bottle and asked if it was food, it smells so good!)As for the comments about it being too thick for the bottle, I must assume the thickness has been changed, it came out perfectly fine for me. I was actually surprised by the fact that it was a little runny, and squeezed hard because of the comments... ended up with a huge hand full.Also, it foams up very very well, so start with a small amount and work your way up.

OMG!! I have purchased MULTIPLE shampoo and conditioners for my 12 yr old daughter..... Her hair is ALWAYS oily and even the stylist said her hair had a film and buildup on it. We bought the shampoo she recommended and it just never helped really at all. ☹️ I went on to buy at least 4 more high end shampoos for clarifying and oil control..... Even the popular Tea Tree by the popular PM brand and still no results.Well, happy to report that after only ONE USE with this lemon product my daughter said she could even tell in the shower that her hair felt a hundred times better and way less oily!! Her hair looks almost exactly like mine after onle one use..... The oil buildup is almost completely under control and GONE !! It's been a God send !! It's giving her her confidence back and she is so happy to not have to hide under a hoodie all winter!!

I just got this shampoo and tried it right away. I normally have dry hair, but over the last few months I noticed it seemed different. I guessed it could be product buildup, so I tried all the “daily clarifying” shampoos, with no success. My hair seemed to be getting oilier, and oilier, almost waxy. Finally I thought maybe that as I got older my hair had just changed from dry to oily, although that just didn’t ring true to me. Anyway, I looked through the shampoos for oily hair and found this one, which also had mentions about removing buildup. So I gave it a try today and am so pleased! Even wet, my hair felt more like..well…MY hair again. When I combed it out before drying it, I noticed that it wasn’t as tangly as it has been lately. Then I started drying it and was amazed, my hair texture was back to normal, the drying time was back to normal, and when I got my hair dried, it was like it always used to be. I guess time will tell if it is a shampoo I can use regularly or if I will have to rotate it to keep it from making my hair too dry, but with just this first wash, it has left my hair clean but not stripped dry. It definitely removed whatever buildup had been stubbornly attached to my hair, but I would not say it seemed harsh on my hair at all. I highly recommend it!

People here say that this shampoo doesn’t cause dandruff, which is caused by a fungus. That isn’t correct. Usually dandruff is caused by an allergy to sodium laurel/laureth sulfate. It is in most shampoos, toothpaste, and mouthwash. MANY people, especially women are allergic to it from using it for many years. My scalp was raw from it. My mouth would peel like I’d been burned. When my dentist saw my mouth he told me to quit using products with that ingredient. That was when I switched to Desert Essence shampoos and Biotene toothpaste. I haven’t had the problem since.
Great natural product, curly girl approved, would like if it was offered in bigger package size
I really like these hair care products, I have been using them on and off for over ten years . I like that they are sulfate and silicone free , as I have curly hair . They have nice light scents and natural ingredients. My one and only suggestion is that they offer these products in larger sizes . I have long hair and the conditioners especially go fast. I feel like it would be more cost effective and less wasteful if it could be purchased in bulk sizes.

Este champú es buenísimo. Aunque es indicado para pelo graso se puede usar con pelo seco sin problema y si lo alternas con otros de la gama el pelo queda estupendo.No tiene parabenos, sulfatos, siliconas, derivados del petróleo... Es vegano y no está testado en animales. Huele genial y cunde muchísimo. Lo aconsejable es usar muy poco producto y usarlo para lavar bien el cuero cabelludo y luego usar el acondicionador de limón de medio a puntas. El pelo mejora enormente tras meses de uso si se eliminan todas las sustancias dañinas para el cabello.Puede parecer caro, pero lo dicho, echando muy poco cunde muchísimo. Te puede durar varios meses.
Ottima consistenza e pulizia
Ingredienti naturali e ottimo potere sgrassante, senza appesantire. I capelli rimangono puliti e leggeri a lungo, e la confezione permette di dosare perfettamente il prodotto. Consigliato a chi ha il cuoio capelluto tendente ad ingrassarsi e necessità di lavaggi frequenti.

Ich habe eine empfindliche trockene Kopfhaut.Dieses Shampoo hat unglaubliches Jucken der Kopfhaut bei mir verursacht. Es brannte nach dem Haare waschen trotz ordentlichen Ausspülen. Ich bekam wunde Stellen wo sich Krusten bildeten. Ob das Shampoo einfach aggressiv ist oder eine allergische Reaktion bei mir verursacht weiß ich nicht. Habe es verschenkt da es bei dem Preis zu schade zum wegschmeißen ist. Totaler Reinfall.
