1st, this product is intended for use in popcorn machines like my Paragon theater pop 6. Years ago Santa gave me a Nostalgia popcorn maker, and while it sold me on the popcorn maker concept, it was a cheap unit having many problems which impacted quality of the popcorn and after it failed 2 years later and replacement parts did not exist I bought the Paragon unit which is amazing. Regardless, when I was looking, I just put the premixed bag in a pot on the stove and was shocked at how bad it was. I imagine the steam was the main culprit, but also the large pot where all seasoning stuck to the sides rather than to the popcorn.But too the popcorn. I have tried almost every brand of these 8oz premade packs out there, and found these to be best. The kernels are crispy and light, and the seasoning, but also color is excellent as well. Another component that is a bit surprising as I wrote above is what you use and how you use it. Using this in my Paragon TP-6 is amazing, and my wife likes it better than the theaters we had always tried to replicate. Its better than any other method we have tried, stovetop, air, other gimmicky units. Part of it is the process I have honed through the years. Even though this popcorn maker is a game changer and allowing it to pop normally and eating it immediatly is very good, my process makes it great. I close all doors and power up the machine about an hour early allowing the heating element in the deck, and the light to heat the inside of the unit up. When ready to pop I start the kettle to let it warm a couple minutes per typical instructions and pop the corn. During the process, the lower lid is left open, and the glass doors are cracked to allow steam to escape the unit. As soon as it is done, I will add a little extra flavacol salt, toss, then close just the 2 glass doors while still leaving the bottom tray open. This allows remaining moist air to escape but continues to heat the popcorn and unit. So, I let it cure 15 to 30 minutes before it is served and the result is extremely light and crispy popcorn that per testing with my wife, she confirms takes it next level. My process not only allows the steam to escape before it gets into the popped kernels, it allows whatever moisture that does a chance to escape. If you take a bite immediately after popping and after my curing process, there is a noticeable difference.

Went to a friend's house and they use this type of popcorn on their popcorn machine and it's so good so ordered some for my machine! This was my second time ordering and will continue to order this! Taste is great and its easy to use! You get a lot of packs for your money too which is awesome!

Mega-Pop is perfectly salted and taste the best of any brand of popcorn-maker popcorn brand that I've had (I've tried 4 different brands). Other popular brands on this platform that I've purchased have way too much salt (even if you're a salt lover) and need to be emptied halfway to even bear the taste. And the flavor is not as good. But the Mega-Pop is perfectly balanced.Continue digging to make sure you're getting the best deal - popcorn in this form this has gotten expensive lately, even various listings for Mega-Pop. I originally switched from my too-salty-but-I-learned-how-to-deal-with-it brand after the price went up over 70% from the previous time I had purchased it and the company brushed me off when I asked why the price had went up so dramatically. But once I discovered Mega-Pop and a reasonable deal for a case, there's no going back.

I purchased this popcorn at Christmas when I bought the machine. When it was time to reorder I tried another brand. The kids didn’t like it so I ended up donating it and reordered the Great Northern Popcorn.
