I use this little saw on hard gourds, it is very flexible as I move around curves. I am a 72 year old women who appreciates the ease of of holding and managing this saw. I also do straight and curved cuts on 1/8" plexiglass. I feel this is a very handy safe tool. The adjustable power is very handy.

I love this thing. The flat plate does make it a little difficult to see on curved surfaces (this is my gourd saw). Very powerful for it's size, light enough to handle easily (although someone with small hands may have trouble). The biggest complaint is the on/off: very inconvenient placement - at the back. On gourds this is a problem because you must insert and turn on and hold the gourd. Almost a 3 hand job. Comes with 4 blades, broke one already. They are high-quality, but fragile (very small in a "mini" saw), so be sure you don't let them bind.

I bought this for my wife as she was beginning to have trouble manipulating my Bosch saw. She choked a bit at the price, but changed her mind after a few uses. Let's face it- if you find a tool that works for you, then the price does not matter in the long term.Handy tip- the power switch can be locked into the ON position., but the switch is not in a real convenient location for one-handed operation. As a quick solution we used one of those Christmas lights footswitch thingies found just about anywhere and plugged the saw into it. At some point I'll get a more appropriate footswitch, but this one got her through the 2016 gourd season with no problems.

I use this saw almost daily, it’s a great smaller saw for my sculpting! And, it stopped working 6 months after purchase. Not able to repair, company told me to buy a new one.

This sweet little jigsaw is exactly what I need for my gourd art! It is lightweight and very easy to use and responds to tight turns. The only thing that I'd change if I could was the on/off switch to either a different location or add a trigger. It's a bit difficult to turn off the saw while holding the gourd steady but I think as I use it more, that will get easier for me.

Excellent Jigsaw
Excellent tool for general cutting & artwork on 3/8" plywood. Bought extra saw blades but didn't really need them. Blades are strong enough & do not break as some reviewers claimed. Just dont use it as a chainsaw but as a saw for fine general cutting & art work. At highest speed for extended running, unit gets a little hot but a few minutes to cool down & it continues to work fine.
Very Disappionted.
Based on my experiences. 2 stars for a great looking tool. Why? After making several practise cuts using the provided edge guide, my own edge guide, different blades, different wood thicknesses with a gentle or hard push, it just will not cut a straight line. Having contacted Proxxon regarding the problem they seemed a little unsure as to why this was happening and made some suggestions which were carried out. But, still the same problem. Having also purchased the Proxxon Micromot Tool Holder, I waited for it's receipt to try inverting the saw and it worked reasonably well. Also, when using the edge guide provided on a piece of 6x6 hard board, it interfered with the clamps, not exactly what I wanted for my model making. After almost a week of intensive researching and reading I am needless to say very disappointed considering the price I paid. If it wasn't for the cost of returning the item from rural Canada I would return it. 1 star since it is a great looking tool and 1 star because it does cut.
