The Beadalon Tacky Bead Mat is a sticky mat that keeps beads and pieces in place while you’re working. It does not leave a sticky residue when you remove items from the mat. If the mat gets dirty, simply ‘recharge’ it by washing it under warm water until clean, let dry and it’s ready and sticky again. Measures 4.25 by 4.25 inches (10.8 by 10.8 centimeters).

As others have stated, this is pretty small but if you work with seed beads it is very useful. It keeps little tiny beads from rolling away.

In the description it says 4.25 inches by 4.25 inches. It is actually a 4x4 inch piece. Otherwise it works great. I just got it yesterday and used it last night and this morning already. I am using it on a Beaded Cross Stitch. My first time to do one and it is a tremendous help to me. It is large enough to keep a few different color beads in different areas for picking up. I am using an empty cd case to hold it in. I turned it upside down and the beads did not fall off. I would buy this product again. I removed one star because of the wrong info about the sizing.

Had to throw away, way to sticky dlfor my needs as a jeweler for my business. I could definitely see the appeal for these working marvelously for younger kids dnnewbies to beading/art!Truly a wonderful product, just not for me at the point in my career.

I just began making jewelry items and soon began to realize unless I bought a mat I would be spending all of my time picking beads,etc. off the floor. There were several different types and didn't know which one to buy. After reading the reviews I opted for this one. Oh so glad I did. I like the jell like quality of it. Boy once your beads are on this they aint moving. Very secure mat for things you don't want to lose. I ordered two. What is nice is the fact that they are washable. When hair lint etc. gets on them all you do is run water on them and presto like new. Dry in no time flat. Will order more when needed.

This product works great for holding beads, especially when attaching them to embroidery. It is small, but I like that I can hold it and my hoop together making the bead work go faster. It really holds the beads, I haven't lost one yet.

Does exactly what it says it will do - holds small parts (so far I've tried beads and buttons - both work :D), cleans with water, is easy to use - I've never seen or used one of these before and to tell you the truth, I didn't actually think it would work - but it does :D Very pleased :)
Fantastic item
This is one of the most useful bits of kit I have (and I have a lot). The beads and small components stay exactly where they are, but are in no way 'stuck' to the mat, they are easy to pick up with your needle ect. I am so impressed I intend to buy another. I would love a larger one if one is mad?, that way I could put all my project beads out to be able to move between beads without having to decant a few at a time.Great item. Any beader or jewellery maker NEEDS at least one of these mats.The seller delivered it promptly and I would buy from again.
