It keeps me dry even in the pouring rain! It has a little bit of weight to it, but I think that’s good cause I hate the really like one cent fly up in the wind.

This is a very well made rain coat. It is a man's and I thought it would fit me BUT the arms were about 6 inches too long! Would like to find a ladies as well made as this one.

We are at the start of what promises to be a record rain season in the Seattle area, and if you are familiar with Seattle weather you know that is saying a lot! I am a disabled senior and I don't go out often, but I must run errands several times each week. (Groceries. Doctors. Vets. So forth.) I was looking for something more substantial than the flimsy rain poncho I picked up locally, so I ordered this "Whaler." Wow! It is big (so am I) and heavy (me too). It arrived today during a 3-day dry spell, so I can't give it a rain-test (acid-rain-test?) until next week. It looks like it should do the job and outlast at least one rain season. Frankly, it looks like it could withstand a hurricane! There is a flimsy plastic pull on one end of the hood cord. The other pull is missing! (Hence I bumped it down 1-star.) Otherwise, this looks like some serious rain gear.

The raincoat has a detachable hood. It is not flimsy and it is thick enough to protect my clothes. I am a Crossing Guard and Florida has unpredictable weather, so this raincoat is perfect for me

The raincoat came damaged. One of the buttons are damaged, the hood cannot be attached to the jacket. Disappointed because I am all the way in Jamaica so it makes no sense to return it.

This is a real raincoat made of heavy, thick, waterproof material that snaps closed and will keep you dry in heavy rain. Was for my brother who is 6’ tall, wears a size XL and it fit great. The length hits him just about the calf. The sleeves have snaps to make them tighter around the wrists. The hood also has snaps and can be removed. Two outer pockets have flaps that also close with snaps. I can’t believe I found this quality of raincoat for under $10 and that it was delivered so fast.

I just received my rain coat. I was so excited to wear it and as I am putting it on, the pockets ripped-that is crazy!! Both sides! How was this raincoat made? With what material? Cheaply cheaply made!! Do NOT buy!! I am so unhappy!!

As a cable guy in Houston, I needed to get a raincoat that can hold up to our "Texas dew" (read Hurricanes). Although I have not field tested it yet, I will make an effort to update this review.Just received it and it looks good. The price is great and if you are Prime it is free shipping. I am a 200 lb, 5'11' and the 2XL fits great, even when wearing my thick jacket. I uploaded pictures of the packaging details, size chart and trying it on on top of my jacket.The back has a flapped vent as the front has two flapped pockets. There is a double enclosure flap running down the front.It smells strong, so I am venting it for a while. The packaging material will work as a storage bag.The delivery was prompt. I will definitely recommend the product and the seller it to my friends and coworkers.

Best durable rain gear in the market.
After only a few years of light use, 2-3 times per year, this raincoat's fabric has frayed on the threads and unravelled in many places. Inferior quality compared with an old 20-year-old raincoat which I still use occasionally.
