I'm a professional dancer and I dance with silk veils, and they always seem to get wrinkled on the way to a show. So today I was so pleased when I quickly and easily steamed out a wrinkled veil which had been stuffed in the bottom of my dance bag. I can't wait to use it on the job!I'm giving it 5 stars because it heated up quickly, the steam was strong, hot and effective (that's how I like my men too HAHA!) I like that it came with all sorts of converters and even a voltage adaptor. There were no funny plastic toxic smells and it seems durable. So far so good and I'll update this after it has endured a few battles!!

This is my second ESTEAM steamer. I find that it is the best portable and compact steamer out there. Does a quick and effective job removing even tough wrinkles. Heats up quickly. Use it for travel but also find myself using it constantly at home. I just plug it in my bathroom and use it on wrinkly blouses and dresses, works in a snap!

While my Jiffy standing steamer has been quite durable (lasted four or five years), this travel steamer lasted less than three months. The power light still glows, but it doesn't generate steam any longer.Even while functioning, this steamer is problematic. It sends steam out in cycles, perhaps twenty seconds at a time, rests, and then steams some more. For the first several cycles after filling with water, it spits water along with the steam, so clothes are spattered with water drops as well as steam. From when the reservoir is half-empty, it steams as expected -- perhaps five-to-eight cycles -- until the reservoir is dry.

Sooo I bought a bunch of curtains for my new apartment that was sorely lacking window treatments. Boy was that expensive - and I bought the $25 type panels at Target. But $25 x 20 for all the windows in the living room and dining room added up to a lot of $.They looked great except they were horribly wrinkled from being wrapped up into cute little squares for shipment. And some of the curtains were so wrinkled that they weren't long enough to touch the floor.I could have washed them, but washing curtains is the fastest way to damage them. So I figured it'd be worth it to buy a steamer.It was.This steamer heats up in about 2.5 - 3 minutes and it holds 8 oz of water. That might not sound like a lot but it was enough to steam 3 54" wide and 84" long panels at a time. Then I'd just refill and wait a few minutes and start up again. The wrinkles relaxed, and the curtains look like a million bucks and yeah, they touch the floor now.What else came in the package besides the steamer? Well since it's a travel steamer it came with a converter and a ton of adapters for travel. I don't know all the adapters but from my travel experience you can take this baby to the UK, anywhere in Europe that has the 2 prong round adapter, Japan, and India. Of course this will work all over North America so feel free to go adapter-less in Canada and Mexico. I haven't been all over the world so I don't know where the other adapters would work. They all came neatly packed with the converter in a little zipper pouch.As far as the ironing vs steaming debate, well they aren't the same thing. One does not replace the other. I see a steamer as being good for removing wrinkles from unstructured or softly structured items. The sleeves of a jacket, a skirt or a dress. This isn't what you'd use on knife pleats or a stiff collar. It's perfect for relaxing wrinkles if you are on say, a cruise or maybe you took some things out of storage and need them to look less crushed.Overall I'm really happy with this. So why only 4 stars? Well the body of the steamer is a cylinder and the way they made it was via injection molding. So there is a seam that catches on loose knits and woven fabrics. On the satiny swags I bought? No catching. But on the nappy brocade curtains? They got snagged a few times. You can avoid snags by being sure to keep only the nozzle touching the fabric rather than the cylinder shaped body. But that's pretty hard to avoid.

I bought this in 2017. At the time I was working as a fashion stylist and wanted it for location jobs (I already had a larger one for studio jobs). I also traveled all over the world with it personally and professionally. 5+ years later it’s just now giving me trouble. Since I’m no longer working as a stylist, I bought a different cheaper travel steamer for myself that I saw on Instagram. Absolute rubbish. That one went in the bin and now I’m back here on this page buying myself another one of these. It might not be the cutest looking but it’s hard working, effective, durable, does the job and built to last.

This steamer has proven to be ineffective at removing wrinkles from men's cotton shirts. I will be back at the ironing board. Be advised, there is no ability to start / stop steam - it just flows out until you unplug the unit or runs out of water. Wish I could return it......

It does a great job of removing wrinkles. At first I thought it was not going to take them out and then they suddenly disappeared. Very simple to use. I like that I do not have to mess around with salt to use it. I had one that you had to use salt and you had to be very careful how you steamed or you got salt stains on your items. This is perfect in every way. I seriously am very happy I found this item.

I ordered this steamer after a lot of research and reading the very mixed reviews on this model, and decided to take my chances.My last travel steamer died and my trip was fast approaching. The positive reviews were directly function related and the negative reviews focused on the item arriving in what appears to be a used condition. Mine too arrived with white sediment inside, appearing to be a returned item but I was out of time before traveling for a month long trip. I cleaned the steamer and filled it up. This steamer is amazing! Not sure what is going on with this seller but the steamer itself does not disappoint.Small and packable, heats quickly and puts out tons of steam. I was able to quickly and easily steam six shirts without a refill. To save your fingers from the steam I recommend carrying a clothespin or hair clip to hold your sleeves out when steaming.
