Milton is well known for inflator gauges. This dual head straight chuck inflator gauge is made with heavy duty construction, providing for long life even under extreme use and conditions. Perfect for high pressure applications, this inflator gauge offers a pressure range of 10-160 PSI. The dual heads allow for easy access into inner duals. Equipped with a magnified viewing window, this tire inflator gauge has a full swivel chuck and deflator valve. Gauge and valve cartridges are both replaceable. 1/4" NPT air inlet. Meets OSHA regulation 1910.177.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
If using a dual head type tire chuck with an inflator gauge and notice air is escaping through the off-side once connected to the tire’s Schrader valve, simply release the trigger and remove the inflator from the Schrader/tire valve. Point the straight side of the outlet up into the air (make sure it’s not pointed at someone). Squeeze trigger, allow air to flow (gravity will cause the sealing valve to drop), and place the chuck end onto the Schrader/tire valve while air is still flowing. Air will start to flow into the tire.
Dual head type tire chucks are unable to inflate a completely flat (zero air pressure) tire. Tire air pressure would normally cause the sealing valve to move and seal the unused side of the chuck. However, if a tire has 0 air pressure, the self-sealing valve has no pressure to react to.

I wanted a tire inflator with a long hose to inflate tractor tires-- the ones where the valve stem is on the vehicle side to reduce damage risks to the valve stem from brush.Modified the gauge by removing the dual chuck, putting in a 360 "swivel universal connector", and closed locking valve body on the end to lock to the valve threads so I could stand to the side while inflating a large tire with the stem on the tractor body side, instead of the additional risk of leaning over the tire and inflating the tire. Just changed to LockNFlator (which works almost very well, the size is sometimes too large). The swivel is needed as a straight to hose type locking end would not have clearance.Pros: -- after several years the inflator is still working does what it is supposed to do reliably, hose is good etc. -- the most important part, the lever actuated valve valve, still works without problems -- the magnifier works decently well to read the numbers (see also below...) -- replacement parts are availableCons: -- reads high by about 5psi at 50psi. Don't expect much accuracy from "stick" like gauges. The error is consistent so just a minor irritant. -- oddly, the dark colored body of the pressure numbers in the valve gauge are wearing off in the 30-60psi range, leaving a faint outline of the numbers. This is not good as that is the most common range of interest, but the gauge is years old. Still, a not really expected failure mechanism and I'll be replacing the gauge component. 30, 50, and 60 look very similar when they are hard to read. -- the button bleeder is starting to leak a little, enough so one can't disconnect from the tire expecting the pressure to hole while reading the gauge pressure. Not important to me, and doesn't leak enough to compromise tire inflation.At double the price of a similar imported copy, I think the quality feel is still justified and there are replacement parts available unlike imported throw-a-way copies. The Milton doesn't impress me as as subject to sudden hard fail unlike imported copies, and if one has to keep a spare around in case a cheap import hard fails unexpectedly, what is the point of the cheap import?

Just received the Milton Inflator and so far I love it. It doesn’t feel cheap and vulnerable to breakage. It feels like a quality made tool in your hands. The deflator button leaked when I first tried it out, but after tightening it with a socket wrench, the o-ring seated and the leak stopped. I don’t often write reviews anymore but this tool was worthy of a good review. I will update if I run into problems.

I received a faulty dual head chuck, it not only leaked but blasted air at full force and needed to be replaced. Instead of sending it back to Bolo, I contacted customer service with Milton Industries, spoke with Carlos R., who attempted to resolve the issue by sending me two more dual head chucks which should have resolved the problem. Amazingly, both of them also leaked air at full force. On June 10th I sent an email reply to Carlos who did not respond to my email. I then contacted them by phone and was told they were getting other customer complaints with the same issue. I suggested to just test the replacement dual head chuck and after finding one that didn't leak that they could send it to me.On July 7th, Carlos finally replied and told me it was in his bosses hands and she was handling it now. Since then I sent a message on July 11th asking for an update and still received no reply. It was far too late to return to Bolo and from my personal frustration I have written this review. The problem remains unsolved and has been nothing but a headache to this date. I suppose I can get a third party head chuck to make this product at least usable.While I'm at it I might as well make another suggestion. The inline gauge is a nice touch with a 5 ft hose but there's no way to attach a locking air chuck to this configuration. Therefore it seems the product could have been designed in a more useful way. Other than that, everything seems solid and of decent quality except for the head chuck of course!

This Milton inflator is an impressive piece of equipment! The chuck locks on to the tire’s Schrader valve securely and does not leak at all. The pressure gauge appears to be spot on as well. The inflator is so easy to use and works so well, I wish I had purchased one 30 years ago! Milton Industries has been in business in Chicago since the 1940s and has it together - big time! VERY highly recommended!
