I have been using this supplement for about 10 months now and it is the only thing that increases my supply. I take one a day at night and I notice a huge difference in how much I pump when I forget to take it. I will take two a day to increase my supply and one a day to maintain. They don’t affect my baby and I don’t really notice a taste. Maybe right at first but nothing that lingers and it’s not bad just there. Must have for nursing/pumping moms!

I have had such issues with milk supply and this helped tide me over when I needed it most! Not too bug a pill and had a mild taste. I love that it is all natural and I dont have to worry what is getting to my baby. This product worked better than almost everything else I tried (except one lactation cookie that helped a lot too). If you are struggling, give this a try. Start slow and ramp up over several days to give your body and breasts time to adjust.

Since I started using this, I haven't noticed any increase in my supply. On the contrary, my supply seemed to have gone down a little and I started to have blocked ducts all the time! And I have been only taking 1 capsule per day. I thought I'd see difference if I keep taking it, but no effect other than the blockage. Also I noticed that baby's poop started to have a green hint when it's usually golden.

This formula is not artfully created. It's a bunch of the most common natural galactagogues put together (herbs that boost/create milk supply) without a clearer focus on the different properties of the herbs (temperature, other indications, etc). Many herbs in this blend are drying/astringing...this wouldn't be a problem if they were taken individually, but putting them all together could be harmful to nursing mothers who are especially frail/weak/depleted/dry already.I took it every day for a month, all the while noting changes in the rest of my body. My milk supply definitely increased, to the point of having more milk than my baby was drinking! I noticed the milk was more watery and clear (opaque-ish without much of the yellow thicker, more nutrient-dense hindmilk). After a few days of this, I noticed my joints were getting dry and they cracked a lot, my muscles were constantly sore and I felt more tired than usual. This made sense as I had not increased my fluid intake, so the water was being taken from my own fluid sources causing dehydration. I know these issues can easily be attributed to being a new mother, in recovery, but I made sure to rule that out by testing the effects of the product on and off after having taken it for a month. Anyway, just thought I'd share.If you're going to try this product:- Start small - 1 capsule a day- Increase your fluid intake - water, juices, coconut water (this last one is great for restoring electrolyte levels. Be careful though as it is a very cooling drink and the chill could get transferred over to baby and cause stuffiness/cold symptoms)- Increase your intake of monounsaturated fats - nuts, avocado, oils, chia seeds, hemp seeds. This will counter any dryness that could result from taking this product. Also, a well-balanced, nutritionally dense diet is important to ensure rich, healthy milk.- If you're naturally dry, I'd recommend making your own galactogogue tea with crushed fenugreek and fennel seeds and dried (or fresh) nettle leaves. And eat more oatmeal!! It does a great job moistening the insides.Hope this helps...

These pills worked from the second I took them. I was barely making a few drops and now I’m able to pump an ounce again. I’m working on bringing up my supply again and these pills are definitely helping. I can see the difference. They don’t give me bad side effects either.

I was taking more motherlove milk special blend prior to taking this supplement. I was finding it pretty much impossible to take those pills 4 times a day while avoiding water intake around dosing, and get enough water to maintain my supply. With this lactation blend I was much better about taking it enough, and drinking enough water, and I really believe this increased my milk supply a lot more than not taking anything. I ended up weaning my son a few weeks ago, but by my calculation on formula intake once I stopped nursing, I was producing about 1.5 times more milk when I was taking this supplement (I was taking double the recommended dose). It has all of the recommended herbs I found online for increasing milk supply, so that was nice.It does have chaste tree berry in it, which I researched online before buying the product. Some sites said CTB can decrease milk supply, and one said it increases supply with a "younger" baby (not quantified with an age), and may decrease it with an "older" baby. That is my reason for docking a star, I feel like the product could have been better without it. The price on Bolo is great (esp w/ Subscribe and Save), I think I was paying about 1/2 what they charge at Whole Foods.
