I bought these on a whim for my ESL class and I love them. They are nice quality plastic blocks and they can be used by individuals or pairs. Depending on your class level, the activity may go by fairly quickly, but it's a nice break from book work.

These dominoes are fun, interactive way to teach kids how to use blends to make words. They are made with very good materials, I like how they are color coordinated. That really helped a students and myself however, it was difficult to get them back into the container once we took them out.

I’ve previously used this to tutor children that are learning English as a second language specifically to help sounding out the words (decoding). Recently repurchased for my nephew who was also struggling with his fluency and decoding! He actually enjoyed playing and creating new words! Highly recommend!

This is indeed a useful tool to help teach and reinforce word building and decoding skills.However, I am taking a point off because I used it with my students and unless precisely replaced into the container the dominoes do not fit back into the container. The container is so fully packed when first opening that it became necessary for me to transfer the blocks into a resealable tub so my students could use them and put them away on their own. I'm going to keep the container, but will use it for something else.

I absolutely love these. My grandkids are learning basic phonics and there are so many games we can play with these domino like tiles to make new words. They’re colorful, the kids can play with them alone or in groups, even stack them. For those who have a problem putting them back in the jar the trick is to shake the jar as you’re putting the last few in. Great buy, I would definitely buy these again.

Great game to support phonics learning. We bought this for my 4 year old who loves games and reading. She has played well with it and enjoys it.She likes the colours of the dominoes and sounds out the words well. It's good for practicing sounding out parts of words and identifying real and fake words.I like that each tile is a complete word fo example you might get sh one end and tra thr other, so it gives you a clue that trash is a word. This can help little ones find sounds within their pile to match.The instructions include ideas for various games too.Would recommend.
