CRC General Purpose Silicone Mold Release is suitable for most applications where post-mold painting is not required. This product has a medium duty silicone content (3-1/2 percent) and is a rapid dry, anti-stick mold release agent suitable for cold and hot molds. CRC General Purpose Silicone Mold Release prevents sticking, which increases the life of dies and molds, improves product surface finishes and reduces production times. Excellent for use in injection and compression molding of ABS, acetal, acrylic, epoxy resins, HDPE, Noryl, nylon, Polyproplyene, polysulfone, and wax. Also for use in blow molding, extruders, foundries and investment castings. Prevents Sticking to increase the life of dies and molds, improve product surface finishes and reduce production times. Rapid Dry, anti-stick mold release agent suitable for cold and hot molds. Effective Temperature Range of 35 to 600 degrees F. 3-1/2 percent Solids provide excellent general-purpose lubrication. Low Odor, non-staining and non-corrosive. Meets FDA Regulation 21 CFR 175.300 (release agent) and 21 CFR 178.3570 (lubricant, incidental food contact). Meets 1998 USDA Guidelines for use in meat and poultry plants.

Worked great in this mortar concrete mix. The slab came out very easily with only tiny imperfections. This was my first time molding anything and using concrete so I was amazed how well it came out.

This product works extremely well. I used it when epoxy bedding an item and had zero sticking issues after applying a coat, letting it dry and then applying a second coat before use. It drys pretty fast so doing two coats is no problem. if you are doing relatively small jobs, one cal lasts a long time.

CRC makes great products, but: Product Labeling suggests strongly that this product is for Silicone mold release - Not so - reading product directions on the back of container states clearly “Not for use with silicone molds” -

Used this on silicone molds that are very intricate and hard to unfold. Made unmolding much easier. Does have an odor and cloud flume but it dissipates quickly.

I use this CRC product for my vintage car collection, I spray it on all the parts that may be susceptible to rust or corrosion. It leaves a microscopic silicone coating that drys and is not tacky (like WD-40 or others) and protects parts from corrosion. Also excellent on my motorcycle and bicycle.Try the CRC food grade silicone spray also.

I gave the product 3 stars because I'm not sure if it was the right product for the application (or user error) but it really failed me. I used the product as a mold release on melamine for an epoxy poor and the mold almost completely ruined the project by sticking to the piece. I used it on some samples with mixed success but on the two actual pieces it had a failure rate around 90% on the sides and 50% on the bottom. Would not recommend for those types of projects...
Little bit costly for Indian market
Again I'm using for this my mold casting DIY projects in my studio and OMG it's work perfectly and beyond my expectations.
